제 3 도는 본 발명에 따른 피복된 미립자 소결 다이아몬드 집합체를 이용하는 침탄/소결 다이아몬드 절단 요소의 현미경 사진.
Claims (43)
- 개별적으로 금속 피복된 다수의 초연마 입자들을 포함하는 열 안정성 초연마재 제품으로서, 상기 금속이 원소주개율표의 IVA족, VA족 VIA족 또는 그 금속들의 합금들로 부터 되고, 상기 피복물이 응집체로 상기 초연마 입자들을 서로 함께 집합시키는 매트릭스 형성하고, 상기 초연마 입자들이 상기 응집체의 적어도 70체적퍼센트를 이루는 열 안정성 초연마재 제품.
- 제1항에 있어서, 응집체가 소정형태를 가지고 있고, 상기 금속 피복물이 상기 응집체의 체적의 약 4-30퍼센트를 이루는 초연마재 제품.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 피복물은 상기 초연마 입자들을 응집체로 서로 함께 접합하여 상기 응집체가 와이어 전기 방전기에 의해 절단될 수 있도록하는 전기 전도성 매트릭스를 형성하는 제품.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스가 상기 금속 피복입자들 사이의 틈새내에 위치되는 결합 보조제를 더 포함하는 상기 초연마제 제품.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 결합 보조제가 실리콘인 상기 초연마제 제품.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 결합 보조제가 실리콘과 티탄의 혼합물인 상기 초연마제 제품.
- 제4항에 있어서, 상기 결합 보조제가 실리콘 함유 또는 붕소 함유 화합물인 상기 초연마제 제품.
- 제1항 내지 제7항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 금속이 텅스텐, 탄탈 및 몰리브덴인 제품.
- 제8항에 있어서, 상기 금속이 텅스텐인 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제1항 내지 제9항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 금속 피복물이 상기 제품의 약 4-30체적퍼센트를 이루는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 금속 피복물이 상기 제품의 약 8-10체적퍼센트를 이루는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제1항 내지 제11항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 피복된 초연마 입자들 보다 작고 상기 피복된 입자들사이에 분산되는 비피복 초연마 입자들을 더 포함하는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제1항 내지 제12항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 연마제품이, 다수의 균일한 크기의 그릿들을 구성하고 상기 그릿들 각각이 개벽적으로 금속 피복된 다수의 초연마 입자들을 구성하는 초연마재 제품.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 그릿들이 10/20매시 크기를 가지는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 그릿들이 20/35메시 크기를 가지는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 그릿들이 35/40메시 크기를 가지는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 그릿들이 50/60메시 크기를 가지는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 그릿들이 60/80메시 크기를 가지는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제13항 내지 제18항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 5-100미크론 범위의 두께를 가지는 상기 그릿들의 상부에 배치되는 제2금속 피복물을 포함하며, 상기 제2금속이 주기율표중 IVA족, VA족 및 VIA족이거나 또는 상기 금속들중의 어느것의 합금인 제품.

- 제1항 내지 제20항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 초연마입자가, 단일 결정다이아몬드, 다결정다이아몬드 또는 입방체의 붕소질화물로 구성되는 제품.
- 제1항 내지 제21항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 응집체에 접합되는 뒷받침부재를 포함하는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제22항에 있어서, 상기 뒷받침 부재가 실리콘 함유화합물들의 세라믹 기질을 포함하는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제22항 또는 제23항에 있어서, 상기 뒷받침 부재가 침탄된 텅스텐 카바이드를 포함하는 상기 초연마재 제품.
- 제22항 내지 제24항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 응집체와 상기 뒷받침 부재 사이에 컴플라이언트층을 포함하는 제품.
- 선행하는 어느항에 있어서, 내산화성 탄화물 형성기 또는 그의 탄화물을 포함하고 상기 절단요소의 적어도 일측에 배치되는 날땜가능한 층을 포함하는 절단요소 형태인 제품.
- 제26항에 있어서, 상기 납땜가능한 층이, 텅스텐, 몰리브덴, 티탄 또는 텅스텐 카바이드로 이루어지는 제품.

- 제36항에 있어서, 상기 금형이 고압, 고온처리를 받기전에 그 금형내로 결합 보조제를 삽입하는 것을 포함하는 초연마 그릿 제조방법.
- 제36항 또는 제37항에 있어서, 상기 응집체를 개별적인 그릿들로 분쇄하는 방법.
- 제38항에 있어서, 균일한 크기의 그릿들을 제조하도록 상기 개별적인 그릿들을 크기별로 선택하는 것을 포함하는 초연마 그릿 제조방법.
- 제39항에 있어서, 상기 개별적인 그릿들이, 그들을 망에 통과시킴으로써 크기별로 선택되는 초연마 그릿 제조방법.
- 제36항내지 제37항중 어느 한항에 있어서, 상기 금형이 고압, 고온처리를 받게하는 상기 단계전에 상기 피복된 초연마 입자들과 함께 그 피복된 초연마 입자들 보다 작은 비피복 초연마 입자들을 분산시키는 것을 포함하는 초연마 그릿 제조방법.
