Claims (23)

  1. 그레이 스케일을 발생하기위한 시간에 걸쳐 디스플레이 전압에 의해 여기되는 화소배열을 갖는 모노크롬 디스플레이 형에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하는 콘트롤러가, 기저시간을 발생하기위한 수단과, 상기 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위한 기저시간을 사용하기위한 수단을 포함하고, 각각의 화소가 상기 디스플레이에서 플리커를 감소시키기 위하여 0을 넘는 임의 그레이 스케일에 관한 기저시간을 여기하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  2. 모노크롬 디스플레이를 콘트롤하기위한 클럭정보와, 수평 동기정보, 다중-비트 칼라정보를 발생하기위한 콘트롤러와, 그레이 스케일을 발생하기위해 각각 다른 시간기간동안 인가되는 디스플레이 전압에 화소배열을 갖는 모노크롬 디스플레이 형과, 모노크롬 디스플레이에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위한 콘트롤러가 기저시간정보를 발생하기위한 수단과, 그레이 스케일이 상기 디스플레이에서 제공되는 디스플레이 콘트롤 정보를 발생하기위한 수평동기정보와 디지탈 칼라 정보와 기저시간 정보를 사용하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  3. 제 2항에 있어서, 디스플레이가 여백시간 단위에 대하여 선형강도응답을 나타내기 시작한 후에 전이시간에 의해 특징지어지는 디스플레이 전압대 시간단위에서 상기 디스플레이가 강도응답곡선을 갖는 것과 상기 기저시간이 상기 전이시간인 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 디스플레이 콘트롤 정보를 발생하기 수단이 상기 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일은 제공하기위하여 화소 on/off데이타를 발생하는 수단을 포함한 것을 특징으로하는 콘트롤러.
  5. 제 2항에 있어서, 디스플레이 콘트롤정보를 발생하기위한 수단이 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위하여 가중클럭정보를 발생하기위한 수단을 포함한 것을 특징으로하는 콘트롤러.
  6. 제 2항에 있어서, 기저시간이 기저시간단위의 수 B까지 평준화되고, N번째 그레이 스케일이 적어도(B+N)시간단위동안 상기 디스플레이 전압을 인가함에 의해 달되는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  7. 모노크롬 디스플레이를 콘트롤하기위하여 화소 클럭정보와, 수평동기정보, 다중-비트 칼라정보, 수직동기정보를 발생하기위해 동작하는 콘트롤러와, 디스플레이 전압에 의해 여기되는 화소배열을 갖는 모노크롬 디스플레이 형에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위한 콘트롤러가 기저시간정보를 발생하기위한 수단과, 프레임 카운트 정보를 발생하기위한 수직 동기정보를 사용하기 위한 수단과, 그레이 스케일 확인정보를 발생하기위한 다중-비트 칼라정보를 디코딩하기위한 수단과, 화소위치정보를 발생하기위하여 수평 동기정보와 화소클럭 정보를 사용하기위한 수단과, 상기 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위하여 화소 on/off 데이타를 발생시키기 위한 화소위치정보와, 그레이 스케일 확인정보, 프레임 카운트 정보, 기저시간정보를 사용하기 위한 수단을 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  8. 제 7항에 있어서, 기저시간 정보를 발생하기위한 수단이 레지스터 또는 데이블로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  9. 제 7항에 있어서, 기저시간정보를 발생하기위한 수단이 화수 on/off데이타가 특별 디스플레이에 일치될 수 있는 것에 의해 프로그램 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  10. 상기 모노크롬 디스플레이를 콘트롤하기위해, 클럭정보, 수평동기정보, 다중-비트 칼라정보를 발생시키기위하여 동작하는 콘트롤러와 디스플레이 전압에 의해 여기되는 화소배열을 갖는 모노크롬 디스플레이 형에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위한 콘트롤러가 기저시간정보를 발생시키기위한 수단과, 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위한 가중 클럭정보를 발생하기위하여 수평동기정보와 기저시간정보를 사용하는 수단을 포함한 콘트롤러.
  11. 제 10항에 있어서, 가중클럭정보가 반복되는 클럭펄스를 포함하고, 펄스들이 기저시간과 동일한 주기를 갖는 능동펄스 상태인 것을 특징으로하는 콘트롤러.
  12. 제 10항에 있어서, 기저시간정보를 발생하기위한 수단이 프로그램 가능하고, 그것에 의해 가중클럭정보가 특별 디스플레이에 일치될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  13. 디스플레이 전압에 의해 여기되는 화소배열을 갖는 모노크롬 디스플레이 형에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위한 콘트롤러가 디스플레이 장치의 내용에 의존하는 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위하여 화소 on/off 데이타를 발생시키기위한 프로그램 가능수단을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  14. 제 14항에 있어서, 또 다르게 기저시간정보를 발생하기 위한 수단을 포함하고, 화소 on/off 데이타 수단들이 상기 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위해 기저시간정보를 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  15. 디스플레이 전압에 의하여 여기된 화소배열을 갖는 모노크롬 디스플레이에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 위한 콘트롤러가 상기 디스플레이 장치의 내용에 의존하는 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하는 가중클럭정보를 발생하는 프로그램 가능수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  16. 제 15항에 있어서, 또 다르게 기저시간 정보를 발생하기 위한 수단을 포함하고, 가중클럭정보수단이 디스플레이에서 그레이 스케일을 제공하기 위하여 기저시간정보를 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  17. 디스플레이 전압에 의하여 여기되는 화소배열을 갖는 모노크롬 디스플레이 형인 모노크롬 디스플레이에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하기위한 콘트롤러가 디스플레이장치 내용에 의존하는 디스플레이에서 흑/백 영상을 제공하기위해 흑/백 화소 데이타를 발생하는 프로그램 가능수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  18. 제 17항에 있어서, 또다르게 기저시간정보를 발생하는 수단을 포함하고, 흑/백 화소 데이타 수단을 디스플레이에서 그레이스케일 제공학위하여 기저시간정보를 사용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  19. 제 18항에 있어서, 흑/백 수단이 스레슐드 수에 대해 디지잘 칼라정보를 비교하는 비교기로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  20. 제 19항에 있어서, 스레슐드가 프로그램 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 콘트롤러.
  21. 모노크롬 디스플레이에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하는 방법이, 기저시간단위를 발생하기위하여 시간단위에 대하여 주어진 전압에서 디스플레이의 강도응답곡선을 결정하고, 0에서 N까지 범위의 그레이스케일의 레벨을 확인하기 위하여 디지탈 칼라정보를 디코딩하고, 시간단위가 없는동안 디스플레이에 전압을 공급함에 의해 레벨 0 그레이 스케일을 발생시키는 것과, 기저시간 단위동안 디스플레이에 전압을 인가함에 의해 레벨 N그레이스케일을 발생시키는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  22. 제 21항에 있어서, 최종 N번째 그레이 스케일을 발생하기위해 인가되는 전압에 관한 단위의 총수가 만일 (기저선+N)이 홀수이면(기저선+N)시간단위와 동일하고 만일(기저선+N)이 짝수이면(기저선+N+1)시간단위와 동일하게 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  23. 모노크롬 디스플레이에서 0에서 N까지 그레이 스케일을 제공하는 방법이, 기저시간을 발생하기위한 디스플레이의 플리커 특성을 결정하고, 기저시간동안 디스플레이에 전압을 인가함에 의해 레벨 1로 부터 N까지 스케일을 발생하는 단계를 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
