Abstract

A cosmetic compsn. for washing hair contains 5-15% lower fatty acid monoester and 0.3-0.5% salycilic acid. The lower fatty acid monoester is nonionic surfactant, and has growth-inhibition against microorganism i.e. saccharomyces cerevisiae, shizsaccharomyces pombe, etc.. The compsn. is useful for inhibiting dandruff.
