Claims (2)

  1. 금속 포일층을 포함하는 관형 시이트 금속셀로 구성되는 소정단면형상의 금속촉매 변환기의 촉매기지를 제작 및 조립하는 방법에 있어서, 다음과 같은 단계 즉, 소정폭의 시이트-금속원재의 스트립을 오목형으로 형성하는 제1단계, 소정폭을 갖는 금속포일의 스트립(25, 30, 34, 35)을 오목형 시이트 금속스트립상에 놓이게 하여 포일층을 상기 소정형상에 따라 오목형 시이트 금속스트립상에 조립하는 제2단계; 포일층(25, 30, 34, 35)을 에워싸는 시이트-금속원재(12)의 스트립을 상기 소정형상에 따라 일체형 시임튜브로 형성하는 제3단계; 튜브의 길이방향을 따라 튜브의 시임을 밀폐연결하는 제4단계; 및 내부에 포일층을 갖는 시임튜브(38)를 소정길이(38')로 절단하여 촉매기지유니트를 형성하는 제5단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속촉매 변환기의 촉매기지(metal catalytic converter catalyst substrate)의 제작 및 조립방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 제1단계에서 시이트-금속원재의 스트립(12)이 상기 소정형상의 약1/2이 되는 저부를 따라 오목형으로 롤링형성되고; 그리고 상기 제2단계가, 번갈아가면서 파형화하고 소정폭의 금속일원재의 상기 스트립(25, 30, 34, 35)를 순차적으로 오목형 시이트 금속스트립상에 놓이게 하여 상기 소정형상에 따라 상기 포일층을 조립하는 것을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속촉매 변환기 촉매기지의 제자 및 조립방법.
