Abstract

The generator detects the sampling clock pulse from NTSC color signals for encoder control. The generator comprises a DC clamping circuit (1) for clamping the negative peak value of horizontal synchronizing signals (HS), a comparator (2) for dividing HS signals regardless of the variation of input signal level, a delay unit (3) for delaying HS signals at certain time constant, a bandpass filter (4) for detecting color burst signals by bandpass filtering, a color subcarrier pulse reproduction unit (5) for generating color subcarrier by accepting the color burst signals and delayed signals, and a phase synchronizing unit (6) for generating sampling clock (fs) having 4 phases.
