종래에는 나선관들을 서로 접속연결함에 있어 나선관의 외주에 요설되어 있는 나선홈에다 합성수지나 기타재질로된 로우프등을 적당한 길이로 감아서 메꾸어 놓고 다시 그위에 접착제를 도포시켜준뒤 연결관을 끼워주므로써 서로 연결된 나선관의 접속부위에 기밀성이 유지되도록 하였던 것이다. 그러나 이는 나선관과 연결관 간의 감합을 밀접시켜주지 않으면 접착제에 의한 봉합(封合)이 완벽하게되지 않는 것이어서 관의 접합부분에서 누설이 빈번하게 되었고, 나선관과 연결관간의 나합에도 힘이들어서 그 연결작업에 많은 노력과 시간이 요구되는 등의 문제점이 있는 것이었다.Conventionally, in connecting the spiral pipes to each other, wrap the spiral grooves on the outer circumference of the spiral pipes with a suitable length of a rope made of synthetic resin or other materials, fill them, apply an adhesive on them, and then insert the connectors. 또한 이와같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로 제3도에서 도시하고 있는 바와 같이 나선관(1)(1')의 외주에 나합케되는 연결관(2)이 비교적 큰 틈새를 갖고 나합되게 구성하고, 그 틈새에 합성수지제 발포물(a)을 충진시켜서 충진된 발포물(a)에 의해 나선관(1)(1')과 연결관(2)간의 결합강도를 강화시키는 동시에 완전한 기밀성이 유지되도록 하는 것도 있으나, 이는 발포물(a)을 틈새에 충진함에 있어 연결관(2)의 적당한 수개소에 발포물주입구멍을 뚫어서 이를 통해 발포물(a)을 충진시켜야 되는등 그 조립작업이 번거롭고 연결관(2)의 자체강도를 약화시키는 결과를 초래케 되었으며, 발포물(a)의 충진상태로 균일하지 않게 될 우려가 있고 이렇게 될 경우 관접속부위의 완벽한 기밀성을 유지하지 못하는 문제가 따르는 것이었다.In addition, to solve such a problem, as shown in FIG. 3, the connecting pipe 2, which is screwed to the outer circumference of the spiral pipe 1, 1 ', is configured to have a relatively large gap and is combined.
