제2도는 하우징의 통로의 윤곽과, 스플라이싱되는 두 광섬유를 정렬하기 위한 수단을 하우징과 협등으로 구성하는 맨드렐을 도시하는 제1도의 사시도에 수직으로 축 2-2를 따라서 취해진 제1도의 광섬유 코넥터에 대한 횡단면도.
제4도는 하우징과 협동으로 초크에 의해 그 초크의 수용홈에 해제가능하게 고착되는 완충 코팅을 갖는 광섬유를 도시하는 제1도의 사시도에 수직으로 축 4-4를 따라서 취해진 제1도의 광섬유코넥터에 대한 부분 횡단면도.

Claims (12)

  1. (A)그 안을 관통하는 통로를 갖는 탄성적으로 변형가능한 신장 하우징과,
    (B)상기 하우징의 제1단부에 근접하여 상기 통로내에 고착되고, 상기 하우징과 협동하여 최소 제1광섬유를 해제 가능하게 고착시키게끔 되는 제1초크와,
    (C)상기 하우징의 제2단부에 근접하여 상기 통로내에 고착되고, 상기 하우징과 협동하여 최소 제2광섬유를 해제가능하게 고착시키게끔 되는 제2초크를 구비하고, 이에 의해 상기 통로내에 위치하는 상기 광섬유의 접속부가 상기 하우징에 대한 외부 응력으로부터 격리되고 안정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 초크들 중 최소 하나가 고착제로 고착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 고창제가 방사 경화 가능한 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 하우징이 경화 방사선에 대해 실질상 투명한 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  5. 제1항, 제2항, 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서,
    상기 하우징이 가시광에 대해 실질상 투명한 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 하우징이 렌즈요소를 아울러 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  7. 제1항, 제2항, 제3항, 제4항, 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 상기 제1초크가 상기 제2초크가 해제가능하게 고착시키게끔 되는 광섬유와 상이한 바깥 지름을 갖는 광섬유를 해제가능하게 고착시키게끔 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  8. 제1항, 제2항, 제3항, 제4항, 제5항, 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서, (D)상기 제1 및 제2초크사이의 상기 통로내에 위치하여 상기 광섬유들을 적당한 광학 정렬로 수용 및 지지하도록 되는 맨드렐을 아울러 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  9. 제1항, 제2항, 제3항, 제4항, 제5항, 제6항, 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서, 상기 통로가 밀폐제로 충진되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  10. 제1항, 제2항, 제3항, 제4항, 제5항, 제6항, 제7항, 제8항 또는 제9항에 있어서, 상기 제2초크가 두 광섬유를 고착시키게끔 되고, 상기 접속부가 광섬유 분할기인 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  11. 제1항, 제2항, 제3항, 제4항, 제5항, 제6항, 제7항, 제8항, 제9항 또는 제10항에 있어서, 상기 제1초크 및 상기 제2초크가 최소 2개의 광섬유를 각각 고착시키게끔 되고, 상기 접속부가 광섬유 결합기인 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
  12. (A)그 안을 관통하는 통로를 갖는 탄성적으로 변형가능한 신장 하우징과,
    (B)상기 하우징의 제1단부에 근접하여 상기 통로내에 고착되고, 상기 하우징과 협동하여 최소 하나의 와이어를 해제가능하게 고착시키게끔 되는 제1초크와,
    (C)상기 하우징의 제2단부에 근접하여 상기 통로내에 고착되고, 상기 하우징과 협동하여 최소 하나의 광섬유를 해제가능하게 고착시키게끔 되는 제2초크와,
    (D)상기 제1 및 제2초크 사이의 상기 통로내에 위치하고 상기 와이어 및 상기 광섬유가 접속되는 광전자패캐지를 구비하고, 이에 의해 상기 광전자 패키지와의 상기 와이어 및 상기 광섬유의 접속부가 상기 하우징에 대한 외부 응력으로부터 격리되고 안정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 코넥터.
