제 1 도는 광섬유 장치의 절단면에서의 등척도이다. 제 2 도는 빛의 진행 경로를 도식적으로 보여주는 광섬유 장치의 도식적 예시도이다. 제 4 도는 변형된 광케이블을 사용하여 광섬유 장치를 형성시키는 최종 단계를 설명해주는 파쇄부분의 측면도이다. 제 5 도는 제 1 도의 광섬유 장치를 포함하는 광섬유 감지 시스템의 도식적 예시도이다.

Claims (13)

  1. 입사광 시그널을 유체내에 위치해 있는 장치의 제 1 단부를 향해 투과시키고, 반사광 시그널을 유체 외부에 위치해 있고 유체의 특이한 특성을 나타내는 장치의 제 2 단부를 향해 투과시키는 신장된 광섬유 장치에 있어서,
    빛을 투과시킬 수 있는 광-전도 케이블 ;
    케이블의 제 1 단부에 형성되어 있는 홀(hole) ;
    상기 홀내에 삽입되어 있어 유체의 내용물과 반응하여 유체의 특이한 특성을 나타내는 빛의 성질을 변화시키는 반응성 부재로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 추가로 케이블의 제 1 단부에 적용된 반사성 물질의 피복물을 포함하는 장치.
  3. 제 2 항에 있어서, 광시그널의 특정 파장만 반사성 피복물에 의해 반사되고 다른 파장은 반사성 피복물을 통해 통과하도록, 반사성 피복물이 파장 특이성인 장치.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서, 케이블이 보호 외장으로 피복된 장치.
  5. 제 1 항에 있어서, 케이블이 중심의 세로축을 가지며 홀이 제 1 단부로부터 케이블내로 축방향으로 내부로 연장되어 있는 장치.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서, 케이블이 중심의 세로축을 가지며 홀이 중심의 세로측을 갖고 홀이 제 1 단부에 인접한 케이블의 외부 표면으로부터 방사상으로 내부로 연장되어 있어 홀의 중심축이 케이블의 중심 축에 대해 거의 수직인 장치.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서 홀이 제 1 단부에 인접한 케이블의 외부 표면 주위에서 원주방향으로 연장되는 환상 채널인 장치.
  8. 제 1 항에 있어서, 케이블의 제 1 단부가 평면이고, 케이블이 중심의 세로축을 가지며, 케이블의 제 1 단부와 케이블의 중심축에 의해 한정되는 각도는 수직인 장치.
  9. 제 1 항에 있어서, 케이블의 제 1 단부가 평면이고, 케이블이 중심의 세로축을 가지며, 케이블의 제 1 단부와 케이블의 중심축에 의해 한정되는 각도는 수직이 아닌 장치.
  10. 제 9 항에 있어서, 케이블의 제 1 단부와 케이블의 중심축에 의해 한정되는 각도가 편광 각인 장치.
  11. 제 1 항에 있어서, 케이블의 제 1 단부가 키루스로 원추형인 장치.
  12. 제 1 항에 있어서, 케이블의 제 1 단부가 포물선 형태인 장치.
  13. 광원 ;
    제 1 항 내지 12항중의 어느 한 항에 따른 광섬유 장치 ;
    케이블에 의해 투과된 반사광을 감지하기 위한, 케이블의 제 2 단부와 통신 가능한 수단 ; 및
    상기 반사광을 분석하여 유체의 특이한 특성을 평가하는 수단으로 이루어짐을 특징으로하는, 유체 내용물의 특이한 특성을 감지하는 감지 시스템.
