Claims (8)

  1. 핵연료체에 가연성 독물을 코우팅하는 방법에 있어서, 핵연료 표면의 최소한 일부가 세척되며; 그다음 가연성 독물층이 적어도 세척된 부분의 일부에 분사되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 가연성 독물은 약 200℃이하의 정상상태 온도로 핵연료의 표면을 가열하는 분사침적율로 침적되며, 분사중 표면 온도를 200℃-600℃로 유지하기 위해 핵연료에 열을 가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 핵연료체는 원통형이며; 가연성 독물층은 단지 원통형 표면에만 가해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 가연성 독물은 보론 함유 물질인 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 보론 함유물질은 지르코늄 디보라이드를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 선택된 침적율은 보통 2.93×10-1밀즈/시간인 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
  7. 제2항, 3항, 4항 또는 5항에 있어서, 핵연료체는 보통원통형을 갖는 우라늄 디옥사이드 펠릿인것과, 선택된 침적율은 보통 2.09×10-3밀즈/시간이며, 핵연료체의 표면온도를 약 400℃로 유지하기 위해 열이 가해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
  8. 제2항, 3항, 4항, 5항, 6항, 또는 7항에 있어서, 지르코늄의 하이드로포빅 외부 코우팅층은 가연성 독물층이 핵연료상에 분사된 직후 가연성 독물층상에 침적되는 것을 특징으로 하는 코우팅 방법.
