Protruding patterns may be disposed on the dam structures DM1 and DM2. The protruding pattern may protrude horizontally from side surfaces of the dam structures DM1 and DM2 disposed below to form an undercut.

For example, a first protruding pattern 172 may be disposed on the first dam structure DM1. The first protruding pattern 172 may protrude toward at least the display area DA or the boundary portion 166 to form an undercut. In addition, the first protruding pattern 172 may protrude toward the through area TA to form undercuts on both sides of the first dam structure DM1.

The second protruding pattern 176 may be disposed on the boundary portion 166. The second protruding pattern 172 protrudes toward the through area TA or the first dam structure DM1 to form an undercut.

In addition, a third protruding pattern 174 may be disposed on the second dam structure DM2. For example, the third protruding pattern 174 may protrude toward at least the display area DA or the first dam structure DM1 to form an undercut.

The common layer 180 may be disposed in the peripheral area PA. The common layer 180 may be entirely disposed in the peripheral area PA. For example, the common layer 180 may be disposed on an upper surface of the protruding patterns 172, 174, and 176, and a part thereof may be disposed on an upper surface of the second insulating layer 140. Preferably, the common layer 180 is not continuously connected and is short-circuited. For example, a portion disposed on the top surface of the protruding patterns 172, 174, and 176 and a portion disposed on the top surface of the second insulating layer 140 may be shorted to each other.

The thin film encapsulation layer 190 extending from the display area DA may be disposed in the peripheral area PA. According to an embodiment, the organic layer 194 of the thin film encapsulation layer 190 may be disposed in a portion of the peripheral area PA, and the first inorganic layer 192 and the thin film encapsulation layer 190 may be disposed. The second inorganic layer 196 may be entirely disposed in the peripheral area PA.

For example, the first inorganic layer 192 of the thin film encapsulation layer 190 may extend continuously along the upper surface of the common layer 180 and the side surfaces of the dam structures DM1 and DM2.

The organic layer 194 of the thin film encapsulation layer 190 may have a filling portion 194a filling at least a portion of the first accommodation space between the boundary portion 166 and the first dam structure DM1. . Since the first protruding pattern 172 is disposed on the upper portion of the first dam structure DM1 to form an undercut, the filling portion 194a may have a shape having a larger width at the lower end portion according to the undercut shape. have. For example, the filling part 194a may have a shape protruding in the horizontal direction toward the undercut, and thus, the filling part 194a may be aligned with the undercut of the first dam structure DM1. Can be.

The second inorganic layer 196 of the thin film encapsulation layer 190 may extend continuously along the top surfaces of the organic layer 194 and the first inorganic layer 192.

As described above, the coupling between the organic layer 194 of the thin film encapsulation layer 190 and the first dam structure DM1 may serve as an anchor. Therefore, when an external force is applied to the thin film encapsulation layer 190, the organic layer 194 may be prevented from being easily peeled from the first inorganic layer 192. In addition, the structure may prevent reflow in the process of forming the organic layer 194, thereby improving reliability of the display device. This process advantage will be described later.

In addition, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the second protruding pattern 176 may be disposed on the boundary portion 166 to form an undercut. Therefore, the filling part 194a of the organic layer 194 may have a shape protruding toward the undercut of the boundary part 166. For example, the effect of increasing the bonding force by the undercut and the filling part 194a may vary depending on the direction in which the external force is applied, for example, the direction in which the protective tape is peeled off. According to the above embodiment, by forming the undercut coupling in both directions of the filling portion 194a, it is possible to prevent the coupling force from weakening along the peeling direction.

In addition, the organic layer 194 may extend beyond the first dam structure DM1 to a second accommodation space between the first dam structure DM1 and the second dam structure DM2. In this case, a filling part of the organic layer 194 may be additionally formed in the second accommodating space, and the filling part disposed in the second accommodating space may be the first protruding pattern 172 or the third protruding pattern 174. The bond force of the organic layer 194 may be increased by combining with the undercut formed by the undercut.

Through holes TH may be formed in the organic light emitting diode display, thereby defining the through areas TA. In example embodiments, all structures including the base substrate 110 may be removed from the through area TA. However, embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto. For example, after the through hole TH is formed, when the base substrate 110 is removed and the support substrate 112 is attached, as shown in FIG. 6, the through area TA is disposed in the through area TA. The support substrate 112 may be disposed.
