Description
The present invention relates to an auto tensioner for a vehicle, which prevents foreign matter contained in oil from flowing into the auto tensioner, thereby preventing a mechanical error from occurring.
The vehicle is provided with a hydraulic automatic tensioner for maintaining the tension of the timing belt or the timing chain of the engine. This hydraulic self-tensioner automatically adjusts the tension on the engine belt drive system to reduce noise caused by insufficient tension on the timing belt or timing chain and to maintain tension. In addition, the auto tensioner satisfies the life extension of the belt drive system and the reliability of the engine.
The automatic tensioner is operated by supplying oil in the oil passage of the engine such as a cylinder block and a cylinder head. If foreign substances are contained in the oil, the automatic tensioner is operated due to foreign substances, A sufficient tension is not transmitted to the timing belt or the timing chain due to insufficient supply.
In this way, when the proper level of tension is not maintained in the timing belt or the timing chain, there arises a problem that operation noise is generated.
