Disclosed is a device for removing foreign materials on a surface of a strip conveying roll for removing foreign matters adhered to a strip conveying roll in the production of strips.
Generally, a strip rolled in a thin plate shape is supported by a plurality of rolls, and is continuously processed to be subjected to various processes, thereby manufacturing a product meeting the requirements of a consumer.
Here, the role of transferring the strip to various processes is taken by a conveying device composed of several kinds of rolls. Since the rolls constituting the conveying device are formed of urethane, a large amount of A problem phenomenon in which a foreign substance is caught is caused and a problem phenomenon such as a dent (defects) is caused on the surface of the strip to be transported.
That is, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, conventionally, a foreign matter (including magnesium oxide (MgO) powder) fixed on the surface of the urethane roll was fixed to the surface of the roll by a fixed blade and removed through rotation of the urethane roll.

The foreign matter removing roll may have a structure in which the foreign matter removing groove and the fiber rope are spirally formed on the surface thereof.
According to this apparatus, the surface of the strip conveying roll can be protected by effectively removing the magnesium oxide adhered to the surface of the strip conveying roll in the production of the strip, and the life of the strip conveying roll made of urethane can be extended, It is possible to secure the safety of the operator due to the reduction in access.
