Abstract
Disclosed is a plating basket for easily performing an electroless plating operation for manufacturing various thin film circuit boards such as a printed circuit board (PCB).
Such a plating basket includes a basket main body having a passage at an upper portion thereof and a thin film-like plated body held thereon from above the passage downward, and standing up while supporting the lower side and the side of the edges of the thin-film plated bodies. A support part composed of support holders formed on the basket body so as to support it, and the upper part of the edges of the thin film-shaped plated bodies placed on the support part side while being rotated in a direction of opening or blocking a passage of the basket body. Description
The present invention relates to a basket for plating, and more particularly, to a plating basket capable of easily proceeding an electroless plating operation for manufacturing various thin film circuit boards such as a printed circuit board (PCB).
In general, various thin film circuit boards, such as a printed circuit board (PCB), are manufactured through a plating process.
The plating process is to form a plating layer (metal thin film layer) for imparting electrical characteristics to a substrate for manufacturing a circuit board, that is, a thin film-like plated body, and is mainly performed by electroless plating (or electrolytic plating).
The electroless plating operation is carried out in a state where the thin film-like plated bodies are placed in the plating tank by placing several sheets on the side of the plating basket.
Therefore, the plating basket should not only be able to quickly mount (or unmount) a plurality of thin film-like plates, but also have a structure that can be contained so as not to cause interference due to contact between the thin film-like plates. It is important to provide.

In particular, the interference caused by the contact is mostly caused by an abnormally curved or deformed portion of an unsupported portion, that is, an upper portion of the edge of the thin film-shaped plated bodies.
Moreover, in recent years, since thin-film circuit boards such as PCBs are gradually manufactured to be extremely thin (approximately 0.04 millimeters to 0.06 millimeters), they can be more easily bent or deformed in the state contained in the basket side.
Therefore, the conventional baskets which support only a part of the edges of the thin film-like plated bodies as described above frequently generate interference between the thin-film plated bodies during the plating operation, and thus it is difficult to expect satisfactory workability and plating quality.
