BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a rear wheel suspension of a vehicle, and more particularly, to a rear wheel suspension structure in which a rear end portion of a trailing arm is connected to a knuckle of a wheel using a separate connection member to improve braking and turning stability of the vehicle.

In general, the suspension system of the vehicle connects the vehicle body and the axle to prevent the axle from being transmitted directly from the road surface while driving, thereby preventing damage to the body and cargo and improving ride comfort. A chassis spring for mitigating impact, a shock absorber for controlling the free vibration of the chassis spring to improve ride comfort, a stabilizer for preventing rolling of the vehicle, and the like.

The suspension is divided into a front wheel suspension and a rear wheel suspension according to the mounting portion of the vehicle, and the axle suspension type that connects the axle-type front axle connected to the axle with the left and right wheels by one axle with a spring, As it is installed on the car body to operate independently, it is divided into an independent suspension type that has light spring load, good ride comfort, and excellent grounding and maneuvering stability.

On the other hand, recently, as a rear wheel suspension of a compact car, a CTBA (Coupled Torsion Beam Axle) suspension, which is excellent in weight, cost, and workability, is mainly used. As shown in FIG. 1, the width of a vehicle is shown in FIG. The trailing arms 2 are fitted to both ends of the torsion beam 1 extending along the direction, and are integrally connected by welding or the like, and one end of the trailing arms 2 is interposed between the bushes 3 through the bush 3. While the other end is bolted to the other end is to be respectively fastened to the knuckle (4) of the left and right wheels through the bracket (2a).

Since the CTBA type suspension device as described above cannot adjust the geometry change according to the wheel behavior by the suspension arm or the control link, the performance of the suspension device is determined by the characteristics of the bush mounted on the tip of the trailing arm. The stability of the vehicle is improved when the wheel geometry is toe-in when braking or turning the vehicle. However, in the CTBA suspension system, as shown in FIG. 1, the toe of the wheel is toe-out when a lateral force is applied to the wheel. There was a drawback that the change was not satisfactory in terms of driving stability of the vehicle.

Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and when the lateral force is applied to the wheel during braking or turning the vehicle, the toe of the wheel is changed to toe-in to improve the running stability of the vehicle, and the structure is simple and the weight And it is an object of the present invention to provide a rear wheel suspension structure that can be configured inexpensively without increasing the cost.

According to the present invention for achieving the above object, the left and right trailing arms are respectively attached to the torsion beam formed to extend along the width direction of the vehicle, and one end of the trailing arm is fastened to the vehicle body via a bush. The other end of the trailing arm is fastened to the knuckle of the wheel via a bracket via a connecting member.

Preferably, one end of the connecting member is integrally attached to the other end of the trailing arm, and the bracket is integrally attached along the longitudinal direction of the connecting member such that the trailing arm is connected to the bracket through the connecting member. It is characterized by.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

2 shows a rear wheel suspension structure according to the present invention in a plan view and a perspective view, that is, the trailing arm 11 is fitted to both ends of the torsion beam 10 extending along the width direction and integrated by welding or the like. And one end of the trailing arm 11 is fastened to the vehicle body via the bush 12, while the other end has a separate connecting member 13 via the bracket 14, and the knuckles 15 of the left and right wheels. ) Will be fastened to each.

The bracket 14 has a rectangular flat plate shape and is fastened by bolts at four places with the knuckle, but is not necessarily limited thereto, and may have other shapes as well as fastened at many places.

In addition, one end of the connecting member 13 is integrally attached to the tip of the trailing arm 11, and the other end of the connecting member 13 extends to the outside of the vehicle, so that the bracket 14 is integrally formed along the longitudinal direction thereof. Will be attached.

Therefore, the bracket and the trailing arm which are directly engaged with the knuckle are connected via the separate connecting member without being directly connected as in the related art, and the connecting member is disposed rearward at the center of the wheel.

Therefore, for example, when the lateral force acts on the knuckle as shown by the arrow during the turning of the vehicle, the bracket 14 mounted on the knuckle is twisted under the lateral force while being supported by the connecting member, and the rear part of the wheel is outside. The toe-in value is formed primarily on the wheel, and the lateral force transmitted to the bracket acts on the trailing arm via the connecting member so that a moment in clockwise direction is applied to the trailing arm. Therefore, the toe-in value is formed on the wheels, thereby improving turning stability when the vehicle is turning.

As described above, according to the rear wheel suspension structure according to the present invention, the trailing arm is connected to the knuckle of the wheel via a bracket through a connecting member so that a toe-in value is formed when a lateral force is applied to the wheel, thereby braking or turning the vehicle. It is possible to improve the turning stability in the city, and the structure is simple, so that it is easy and inexpensive to apply without special modification of the CTBA suspension structure.
