Claims (10)
- 제 1, 2기판 각각에 형성된 배향막이 서로 반대방향으로 배향되고, 상기 배향막에 의해 수평으로 배향된 액정층이 상기 기판 사이에 형성되는 ECB(Electrically Controlled irefringence) 모드 액정 패널과;상기 제 1기판 외측에 구비된 제 1편광판과;상기 제 2기판 외측에 구비된 제 2편광판과;상기 ECB 모드 액정패널 및 제 2편광판 사이에 구비된 광시야각 보상필름이 포함되어 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 2기판은, 게이트 전극과 소스 및 드레인 전극으로 이루어진 박막 트랜지스터와;상기 박막트랜지스터 상부에 형성되고, 상기 드레인 전극을 드러내는 콘택홀이 구비된 보호층과;상기 보호층 상부에 형성되고, 상기 콘택홀을 통해 드레인 전극과 연결되는 화소전극이 포함되어 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 1기판은, 상기 제 2기판에 형성된 박막 트랜지스터와 대응하는 위치 에 형성된 블랙 매트릭스와;상기 블랙매트릭스 사이에 적, 녹, 청색이 순차적으로 반복되어 형성된 컬러필터 패턴과;상기 컬러필터 패턴 상에 순차적으로 형성된 오버코트 층 및 공통전극이 포함되어 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 2편광판의 하부에 백라이트(backlight)가 더 구비됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 1편광판의 광투과축 및 제 2편광판의 광투과축은 상기 ECB 모드 액정패널에 구비된 액정층의 배향 방향에 대해 45도 기울어져 배치됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 제 1편광판의 광투과축 및 제 2편광판의 광투과축은 서로 직교하도록 배치됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 광시야각 보상필름은 네가티브 지연(negative retardation)을 갖음을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 7항에 있어서,상기 광시야각 보상필름의 네가티브 지연은 -10nm 내지 -50nm 임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 8항에 있어서,상기 광시야각 보상필름의 네가티브 지연은 -30nm임을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 광시야각 보상필름의 광축은 상기 ECB 모드 액정패널에 구비된 액정층의 배향 방향과 수평으로 배열됨을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
