Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a conductive silicone paste composition, and more particularly, a dispensing comprising (a) conductive particles, (b) room temperature moisture curable silicone resin (RTV resin), and (c) siloxane oligomer. Possible conductive silicone paste compositions and electromagnetic shielding gaskets prepared therefrom.
For the modern people living in the information society, the use of various electronic devices is essential and accordingly, they are exposed to electromagnetic waves inevitably generated. Electromagnetic waves are not only harmful to the human body, but also cause noise and malfunction due to interference between the electronic devices used. Therefore, the necessity of shielding has emerged. Restraint efforts continue.
In addition, in terms of a case protecting a product and a circuit, efforts have been made to minimize the influence of electromagnetic waves both inside and outside the electronic device by coating an electrically conductive material on the inside of the case. However, this case consists of several parts (e.g., front part (FRONT PART), rear part (REAR PART), shield can (SHIELD CAN) in the case of mobile phone, The gap between the liver (GAP) inevitably arises to provide a problem of providing a path of electromagnetic inflow and outflow.
To solve this problem, the finger strip method was adopted as a method for filling and sealing the gap between the ribs of each part. However, due to excessive hand work, the workability is reduced, the cost is increased, and the electromagnetic shielding performance in the high frequency band is insufficient. The method has been sought, and as a method of satisfying this, the field molding method (FORM IN PLACE) is adopted and widely used.
This method is a method to form a gasket by dispersing a room temperature moisture-curable conductive paste in the field using a robot and then curing it at room temperature (25 to 40 ° C.) by moisture (relative humidity 40 to 90%). In particular, as the size of mobile phones and other portable electronic devices decreases, the width of the ribs decreases, and thus the line width of the gasket dispensed thereon is reduced. In order to reduce the gasket line width, the nozzle diameter is reduced, which is currently preferred to 0.5 ~ 0.6mm in domestic handset producers. This is not possible due to the high viscosity of the solution.
To control the viscosity of the solution, conductive paste manufacturers used silver, copper, nickel, silver-coated copper (SILVER-COATED COPPER), silver-coated nickel, silver-coated graphite, silver-coated glass, etc. To disperse in the room temperature curing silicone resin, aromatic organic solvents such as toluene and xylene are mixed with 1% to 10% by weight to prevent excessive increase in viscosity. It is reported that it may cause unpleasant symptoms, and may cause harmful effects such as respiratory disorders and fetal malformations upon prolonged exposure.
The present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art as described above, instead of using an aromatic organic solvent, such as toluene, xylene, which is known to be harmful to the human body using a siloxane-based oligomer as a solvent of the silicone resin to the electrically conductive silicone paste By manufacturing, the primary purpose is to reduce the discomfort that the user can feel, and further to block the harmful effects that may occur during long-term exposure.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail.
One aspect of the invention relates to a conductive silicone paste composition capable of dispensing comprising (a) conductive particles, (b) room temperature moisture curable silicone resins (RTV resins), and (c) siloxane oligomers. .
In the present invention, conductive particles are added to impart conductivity. The conductive particles include silver, copper, nickel, copper coated with silver (SILVER-COATED COPPER), nickel coated with silver, copper coated with nickel, graphite coated with nickel, glass coated with nickel, and coated with silver. For example, coated graphite or silver coated glass. In addition, the average particle size of the conductive particles used in the present invention is preferably in the range of 10 ~ 100㎛.
The paste composition of this invention contains 20-90 weight part of said conductive particles with respect to the whole composition, More preferably, it contains 30-90 weight part. If the conductive particles are used at less than 20 parts by weight, the conductivity is too low to use for electromagnetic shielding, and when used in excess of 90 parts by weight, the conductivity is excellent, but the binder content is reduced to obtain the desired adhesiveness. It is not suitable because it does not exist and leads to a decrease in dispersibility due to excessive powder content and poor economic efficiency.
In this invention, adhesiveness is provided and normal temperature moisture hardening type silicone resin is added for moisture hardening at normal temperature. As the room temperature moisture-curable silicone resin, a silicone resin, a catalyst, a cross linker, and the like are mixed and commercially sold. Specifically, Shin-Etsu, Dow Corning, GE. Examples thereof include, but are not limited to, oxime, deamine, deacetic acid and dealcohol type one-component silicone resins of Loctite and Wacker.
The paste composition of this invention contains 10-80 weight part of said moisture-curable silicone resins with respect to the whole composition, More preferably, it contains 20-70 weight part. If the moisture-curable silicone resin is less than 10 parts by weight, the adhesion to the substrate is lowered, if more than 80 parts by weight will inhibit the electrical conductivity to exhibit electromagnetic shielding performance.
In addition, the silicone resin used preferably has a viscosity of 9,000 to 1,000,000 cps. When the viscosity of the silicone resin is less than 9,000 cps, the addition of wax causes precipitation of conductive particles with high specific gravity to settle, while the dispensed gasket does not maintain its shape and tends to spread, and when it exceeds 1,000,000 cps, the silicone paste viscosity Is too high to dispense.
On the other hand, the main component of the silicone resin is polydimethylsiloxane, and the solvent thereof is known as aromatic organic solvents such as benzene, toluene, xylene, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, ethyl acetate, butanone, perchloroethylene, diethyl ether, and the like. . Among these, benzene, chloroform, and carbon tetrachloride are classified as carcinogens or carcinogens. Butanone, ethyl acetate, and dietel ether are difficult to use due to their characteristic irritating scents. Although xylene is used as a solvent, aromatic organic solvents such as toluene and xylene generate aromatic scents, causing discomfort to the user, and may have harmful effects such as respiratory failure or fetal malformation upon prolonged exposure.
The present invention features the addition of siloxane oligomers as a substitute for aromatic solvents. The siloxane oligomer plays a role of viscosity control and curing rate control, and has colorless and odorless properties. It is preferable that the addition amount of the said siloxane oligomer is 0.1-20 weight part.
The siloxane oligomer has the same chemical structure as polydimethylsiloxane, which is a main component of the silicone resin, but has a short chain length, and for this reason, acts as a solvent by exhibiting chemical affinity with the silicone resin. Specifically, the siloxane oligomer is hexamethyldisiloxane consisting of two dimethyl silicon oxide units (hexamethyldisiloxane), octamethyltrisiloxane and hexamethylcyclosiloxane consisting of three units, and hexamethylcyclosiloxane, and four decamethyl units. It may be selected from the group consisting of tetrasiloxane (decamethyltetra-siloxane) and octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane). In the case of three or more units, two or more types of structural formulas are possible because both linear and cyclic structures are possible. As the number of units increases, the boiling point of the solvent increases, so that the oligomer having five units is difficult to evaporate at room temperature, and thus it is difficult to use the conductive silicone paste of the present invention.
These siloxane oligomers may be used as a pure substance of only one kind of molecule, but may be used by mixing two or more kinds for controlling desired viscosity and evaporation rate. Specifically, from the reagent grades of Acros, Alfa-Aesar, Lancaster, Dow Corning, GE Silicones trade name OS-10 Fluids, OS For example, -20 Fluids, OS-30 Fluids, SF1173, SF1204, and the like.
The siloxane oligomer may be naturally included in the product when synthesizing some silicone resins, but the amount thereof is insignificant compared to the case in which the siloxane oligomer is intentionally added as in the present invention. On the other hand, by using a siloxane oligomer and the above organic solvent in combination, the harmfulness of the aromatic organic solvent can be reduced.
The composition of the present invention is a composition selected from the group consisting of a variety of known additives, for example, Thixo, dispersing aids, stabilizers, organic solvents, and the like within the scope of the present invention without departing from the object 100 0.03-10 weight part can be added with respect to weight part.
Another aspect of the invention relates to an electromagnetic shielding gasket made from the conductive silicone paste composition. In the electromagnetic wave shielding gasket of the present invention, except that the siloxane oligomer solvent is used instead of the aromatic solvent, no special apparatus or method is required to manufacture the electromagnetic wave shielding gasket, and according to the conventional method of manufacturing the gasket. I can make it.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to examples, but these examples are for illustrative purposes only and should not be construed as limiting the present invention.

The viscosity of the conductive paste was evaluated by measuring the discharge pressure, and the touch drying time, which is the point at which adhesiveness disappeared on the surface of the paste, was measured to evaluate the curing rate of the conductive paste. To check the electrical conductivity of the hardened gasket, Fluke's multimeter was used to measure the line resistance of the 10 cm length of the cured product. The breaking force was measured using a force gauge from IMADA.

As described in detail above, the conductive silicone paste composition of the present invention can reduce the user's discomfort and the possibility of harmfulness due to the fragrance without significantly affecting the existing physical properties by using dimethylsiloxane oligomer instead of the aromatic organic solvent. In addition, when the same amount of dimethylsiloxane oligomer is used, the discharge pressure and the linear resistance are lower than those of the conventional aromatic organic solvent, thereby having a phosphorus effect not only as a solvent but also as a dispersing aid.
