Abstract

To provide a honeycomb structure fabrication method for simplifying a honeycomb manufacturing process by a mold and fabricating a more solid honeycomb structure using a metal material having high tensile strength, compression strength and bending strength. The method for fabricating honeycomb structure comprises: a step of forming thin metal sheets into hexagonal cell sheets comprising hexagonal pillars that are formed on the metal sheets and spaced from one another in a certain distance by a mold and a press; a step of coating a molten material or adhesive on the outer surface of the formed hexagonal cell sheets; and a step of overlapping two of the coated hexagonal cell sheets with one another in a direction in which the hexagonal pillars are projected, thereby inserting hexagonal pillars of one hexagonal cell plate into spaces between hexagonal pillars of the other hexagonal cell plate such that the hexagonal pillars of one hexagonal cell plate are continued to the hexagonal pillars of the other hexagonal cell plate.
