Claims (14)
- 복수의 안테나 요소들; 및다중인(diverse) 둘 이상의 지향성 안테나 빔들(directional antenna beams)이 제공되도록, 상기 안테나 요소들을 적응적으로 결합하도록 배열된 결합기(combiner)를 포함하는 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 무선 통신 장치는 MIMO(multi-input multi-output) 통신 장치이고, 상기 둘 이상의 지향성 안테나 빔들이 MIMO 통신에 적합하도록 상기 결합기가 배열된 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 무선 통신 장치는 사용자 단말기 및 기지국으로부터 선택되는 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 편파 다이버시티(polarisation diversity), 각도 다이버시티(angle diversity) 및 공간 다이버시티(space diversity) 중의 임의의 것의 결과로서 상기 안테나 빔들이 다중인 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 결합기는 적어도 하나의 빔 형성기(beamformer)를 포함하는 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 안테나 요소들 중의 적어도 일부는 위상 배열(phased array)로서 제공되는 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 실질적으로 유사한 방향성을 갖고, 실질적으로 직교 편파를 갖는 한 쌍의 안테나 빔들이 제공되는 무선 통신 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 실질적으로 유사한 방향성을 갖고, 실질적으로 직교 편파를 갖지만, 상기 제1 쌍의 안테나 빔들과 다른 방향성을 갖는 제2 쌍의 안테나 빔들의 제공되는 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 결합기는 전자적으로 상기 지향성 안테나 빔들을 구동하도록 배열된 무선 통신 장치.
- 제1항에서 청구된 복수의 무선 통신 장치들을 포함하는 통신 네트워크.
- 무선 통신 장치를 동작시키는 방법에 있어서,(i) 복수의 안테나 요소들에서 무선 신호들을 수신하는 단계;(ii) 둘 이상의 다중 채널들을 수신하기 위하여 적어도 한 방향성에서 동작할 수 있도록, 상기 안테나 요소들을 적응적으로 결합하기 위하여 결합기를 사용하는 단계를 포함하는 무선 통신 장치 동작 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 무선 통신 장치는 MIMO 통신 장치이고, 상기 수신된 신호들은 시공간 부호화(space-time coded)되었으며, 상기 다중 채널들은 MIMO 채널들인 무선 통신 장치 동작 방법.
- 무선 통신 장치를 동작시키는 방법에 있어서,둘 이상의 다중 채널들을 전송하기 위하여 적어도 한 방향성에서 동작할 수 있도록, 상기 안테나 요소들을 적응적으로 결합하기 위하여 결합기를 사용하는 단계 및상기 단계를 통하여 복수의 안테나 요소들로부터 무선 신호들을 전송하는 단계를 포함하는 무선 통신 장치 동작 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 무선 통신 장치는 MIMO 통신 장치이고, 상기 무선 신호들은 시공간 부호화되었으며, 상기 다중 채널들은 MIMO 채널들인 무선 통신 장치 동작 방법.
