Claims (9)
- 대향하는 제1,제2기판과; 상기 제1,제2기판의 사이에 형성된 액정층과; 상기 제1기판 상에 종횡으로 배열되어 화소들을 정의하는 게이트 배선들 및 데이터 배선들과; 상기 제1기판 상의 단위 화소에 형성되어 액정층에 수평 전계를 인가하는 적어도 한 쌍의 제1,제2전극과; 상기 단위 화소의 일측 모서리에 구비되어 화상정보를 상기 제1전극에 공급 또는 차단하는 스위칭소자와; 상기 홀수번째 게이트 배선들에 대응하는 화소들의 제2전극에 제1공통전압을 공급하는 제1공통전압 배선들과; 상기 짝수번째 게이트 배선들에 대응하는 화소들의 제2전극에 제2공통전압을 공급하는 제2공통전압 배선들을 구비하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제1전극은 화상정보가 인가되는 화소전극이고, 제2전극은 공통전압이 인가되는 공통전극인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 스위칭 소자는 게이트 전극이 게이트 배선에 접속되고, 소스 전극이 데이터 배선에 접속되며, 드레인 전극이 제1전극에 접속된 박막 트랜지스터인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제1공통전압 배선들이 서로 전기적으로 연결되고,상기 제2공통전압 배선들이 서로 전기적으로 연결된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제1공통전압 배선들과 제2공통전압 배선들은 게이트 배선들과 평행하게 배열된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제1공통전압 배선들과 제2공통전압 배선들은 데이터 배선들과 평행하게 배열된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제1공통전압 배선들을 통해 공급되는 제1공통전압과 제2공통전압 배선들을 통해 공급되는 제2공통전압은 서로 반전된 펄스 형태로 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제1전극은 상기 데이터 배선들과 평행한 방향으로 서로 일정하게 이격되도록 형성된 다수의 수직한 패턴들과; 상기 수직한 패턴들이 서로 접속되도록 상기 게이트 배선과 평행하게 형성된 적어도 하나의 수평한 패턴으로 구성되고, 상기 제2전극은 상기 데이터 배선들과 평행한 방향으로 서로 일정하게 이격되도록 형성된 다수의 수직한 패턴들과; 상기 수직한 패턴들이 서로 접속되도록 상기 게이트 배선과 평행하게 형성된 적어도 하나의 수평한 패턴으로 구성되며, 상기 제1전극의 다수의 수직한 패턴들과 제2전극의 다수의 수직한 패턴들이서로 대응되도록 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구조.
- 게이트 배선들 및 데이터 배선들이 종횡으로 배열되어 화소들을 정의하고, 상기 단위 화소에 화상정보와 공통전압을 수평 방향으로 인가하여 액정을 구동하는 횡전계 방식의 구동방법에 있어서, 상기 홀수번째 게이트 배선들에 대응하는 화소들에는 매 프레임 단위로 천이되는 펄스 형태의 제1공통전압을 공급하고, 아울러 상기 짝수번째 게이트 배선들에 대응하는 화소들에는 상기 제1공통전압이 반전된 펄스 형태의 제2공통전압을 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 구동방법.
