Claims (19)
- 동일한 n 레벨 배열(constellation)과 다른 비트 비율(bit rate)들을 가지는 제 1 및 제 2 데이터를 포함하는 입력을 수신하는 단계;디코더(decoder)로써 제 2 데이터만을 복호화하는 단계;입력과 디코더에 응답하여 n 배열 레벨들의 n/2(n>2)보다는 작지만 적어도 1에 한정되는 출력을 산출하는 단계; 및출력을 개량된 슬라이스 예측(enhanced slice prediction)으로 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측(enhanced slice prediction)을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 디코더는 제 1 디코더이며, 수신 단계는 제 1 및 제 2 데이터를 복원하기 위해 n 상태(state)들을 가지는 제 2 디코더로써 입력을 복호화하는 단계를 포함하며, 산출 단계는 제 2 디코더의 n 상태들의 n/2 상태들 중 n/4 상태들을 선택하는 단계를 포함하며, 제공 단계는 개량된 슬라이스 예측으로 n/4 상태들을 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 제 2 디코더의 처리 시간을 기초로 하여 선택 단계를 지연하는 단계를 더욱 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 디코더는 제 1 디코더이며, 수신 단계는 제 1 및 제 2 데이터를 복원하기 위해 n 상태(state)들을 가지는 제 2 디코더로써 입력을 복호화하는 단계를 포함하며, 산출 단계는 제 2 디코더의 n 상태들의 n/2 상태들 중 오직 하나의 상태를 선택하는 단계를 포함하며, 제공 단계는 개량된 슬라이스 예측으로 상기 하나의 상태를 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 제 2 디코더의 처리 시간을 기초로 하여 선택 단계를 지연하는 단계를 더욱 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, n은 8인 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 산출 단계는출력을 산출하기 위해 제 2 데이터를 사용할 수 없을 때 입력을 복호화하는 단계; 및출력을 산출하기 위해 제 2 데이터를 사용할 수 있을 때 제 2 데이터를 복호화하는 단계를 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 적어도 부분적으로 디코더의 처리 시간을 기초로 하여 입력을 복호화하는 단계를 지연하는 단계를 더욱 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 제공 단계는 개량된 슬라이스 예측으로 오직 하나의 상태를 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 수신된 맵(map)에 반응하여 입력을 복호화하는 단계와 제 2 데이터를 복호화하는 단계 중에서 선택하는 단계를 더욱 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 디코더는 제 1 디코더이며, 수신 단계는 제 1 및 제 2 데이터를 회복하기 위하여 제 2 디코더로써 입력을 복호화하는 단계를 포함하며, 제 2 데이터만을 복호화하는 단계는 복호화된 제 2 데이터를 산출하기 위해 제 1 디코더로써 제 2 데이터를 복호화하는 단계를 포함하며, 산출 단계는 복호화된 제 2 데이터를 사용할 수 없을 때 제 3 디코더로써 입력을 복호화하여 출력을 산출하는 단계 및 복호화된 제 2 데이터를 사용할 수 있을 때 제 3 디코더로써 제 2 복호화된 데이터를 복호화하여 출력을 산출하는 단계를 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 제 3 디코더로 입력을 복호화하는 단계를 지연하는 단계를 더욱 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 단계.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 제 3 디코더는 비터비(Viterbi) 알고리즘을 구현하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 제공 단계는 개량된 슬라이스 예측으로 제 3 디코더의 오직 하나의 상태만을 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 단계.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 수신된 맵(map)에 반응하여 입력을 복호화하는 단계와 복호화된 제 2 데이터를 복호화하는 단계 중에서 선택하는 단계를 더욱 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 7 항 또는 제 11 항에 있어서, 제 1 데이터는 8 레벨의 비 RVSB 심벌들(eight level non-RVSB symbols)을 포함하며, 제 2 데이터는 8 레벨의 RVSB 심벌들(eight level RVSB symbols)을 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
- 제 1 항, 제 7 항 및 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 제공 단계는 송신된 훈련(training) 신호가 수신된 신호에 포함될 때 기지(旣知)의 트레이닝 신호를 기초로 하여 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 개량된 슬라이스 예측을 제공하는 방법.
