Abstract

PURPOSE: An apparatus for correcting a time of a main clock for ship by using a GPS(Global Positioning System) is provided to receive a current time from a plurality of GPS satellites and correct automatically the time of a main clock and a sub clock within a ship by using a time correction device including a self crystal oscillator. CONSTITUTION: A reception circuit is connected with a GPS antenna(1). A microprocessor(2) is used for processing timing data of the reception circuit. A GPS signal is inputted to the reception circuit through the GPS antenna(1). The microprocessor(2) outputs a communication signal to a regulator(3) and a frequency converter. A time correction portion(10) has a noise removal filter(5) for obtaining a stable voltage and a satellite navigation system(6) for comparing coordinates of a correction reference station with coordinates of a base station and obtaining an error correction value thereby. A self crystal oscillator portion(9) receives the timing data and position data and transmits the received data to the microprocessor(2). The microprocessor(2) is connected with a plurality of driver portions(8,8a,8b). The driver portions(8,8a,8b) changes an input time of the microprocessor(2) and outputs a current time. A plurality of amplifier portions(4,4a,4b) correspond to the plural driver portions(8,8a,8b).
