Abstract
The present invention relates to a shock absorber of a steering wheel of a vehicle, and more particularly, when a slidoid is operated by a collision detection sensor to open a through hole formed in the housing during a collision, the force applied to the steering wheel is moved to the lower end of the steering housing. The present invention relates to a shock absorbing device for a vehicle handle which draws inwardly filled air and simultaneously protects a driver by absorbing a pressing force. According to a conventional shock absorbing device, a steering column 40 and a ball 160 are provided. In order to generate an appropriate friction force therebetween, the gap between the steering column 40 and the steering shaft 60 must be considerably smaller, and the steering column 60 and the height H between the ball 160 must also be constant so that the steering column The processing density of the 40 and the steering shaft 60 has to be increased, thereby increasing the manufacturing cost. The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a shock absorbing device for a vehicle steering wheel to protect the driver from a secondary shock with a steering wheel applied to the driver during a collision of the vehicle.
Description
The present invention relates to a shock absorber of a steering wheel of a vehicle, and more particularly, when a slidoid is operated by a collision detection sensor to open a through hole formed in the housing during a collision, the force applied to the steering wheel is moved to the lower end of the steering housing. The present invention relates to a shock absorbing device for a vehicle steering wheel which draws out the air filled inside and protects the driver by absorbing the pressing force.
The steering operation mechanism is composed of a handle, a steering shaft, a steering column, etc., and is a part for transmitting the driver's operating force to the gear mechanism, and there are various safety devices for the driver's safety. It is also equipped with various switches such as a handle lock, a horn switch and a light switch.
In general, the driver's operating force is transmitted to the steering gear of the gear mechanism by turning the handle of the control mechanism, and the direction of movement is decelerated at the same time. Delivered.
In addition, the knuckle spindle is rotated about the king pin by the movement of the knuckle spindle changes the movement of the front wheels. The left and right knuckles are knotted with knots. In addition, the outer surface of the steering shaft 60 is formed with an annular groove 140 and the ball 160 is fixed in the annular groove 140 by appropriate means, so that the ball 160 as described later the steering column 40 is moved along the inner surface to absorb the impact of the handle (H) by the friction force between the steering column 40 and the ball (160).
Referring to Figure 2 describes the shock absorbing process according to the conventional shock absorbing device of the steering wheel, when a predetermined or more impact force is applied to the handle (H) due to the collision of the car steering column 40 and the steering shaft 60 As the molding pin 120 is fixed, the steering column 40 moves downward along the outer surface of the steering shaft 60.
Subsequently, the lower end of the steering column 40 is continuously in contact with the ball 160 fixed to the outer surface of the steering shaft 60 with the ball 160 in between.
At this time, since the friction force is generated while the ball 160 is in contact with the inner surface of the steering column 40, the friction force absorbs the impact of the handle (H) to mitigate the impact applied to the driver.
However, according to the conventional shock absorbing device, in order to generate a proper friction force between the steering column 40 and the ball 160, the gap between the steering column 40 and the steering shaft 60 has to be made quite small. Since the height (H) between the 60 and the ball 160 should also be constant, the processing density of the steering column 40 and the steering shaft 60 should be increased, causing the manufacturing cost to increase.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and its object is to provide a shock absorbing device for a vehicle steering wheel that protects the driver from a secondary shock with the steering wheel applied to the driver in the event of a vehicle crash. have.
The object of the present invention is a collision detection sensor for detecting a collision of the vehicle, a relay that is connected to the collision detection sensor and the solenoid to operate in accordance with the output signal of the relay, and the upper to form a circular ring to the inside The spring forms a space in which the spring is inserted and installed, but at the lower end, air is introduced into and out of the housing, and the housing is installed in the steering column, and the separation is prevented from being caught by the circular annulus and the inner part is acted as a guide when pressing the handle. The relay 3 is connected to the solenoid 4 which operates according to the output signal transmitted from the collision detection sensor 2, the operator 4a of the solenoid 4 is placed on the upper ring frame 5b The spring 6 is formed so as to block the through-hole 5c through which air enters and exits the lower end of the housing 5 which is inserted and inserted into the space 5a.
On the other hand, the housing (5) of one side is inserted into the steering column 10 and the other side of the locking piece (7b) to be prevented from being caught off the hook ring (5b) and to act as a guide when pressing the handle A spring 6 is formed by forming a space 7a so as to be inserted inwardly through the opening hole 7c, and a handle is installed on an upper portion of the steering housing 7 which is connected to the housing 5.
The shock absorbing device (1) of the steering wheel of the present invention configured as described above is a relay (3) based on the signal output from the collision detection sensor (2) detecting the collision of the vehicle as shown in Figure 4 By actuating the solenoid 4 as shown in FIG.
On the other hand, when the solenoid 4 is operated in accordance with the signal of the relay 3, the operator 4a of the solenoid 4 when the driver hits the steering wheel by the impact after the collision of the vehicle, that is, when the handle is pressed The handle is pushed backwards.
At this time, pressing the steering housing 7 results in compressing the air contained in the spaces 5a and 7a, and simultaneously with the collision of the vehicle, the solenoid 4 opens the through hole 5c to the through hole 5c. Air leaks out and pushes the handle backwards.
On the other hand, when the driver's body hits the steering wheel, the steering housing 7 is pressurized, so that the air flows out through the through hole 5c and at the same time, the locking piece 7b is caught on the circular frame 5b, thereby preventing the departure. The housing 7 is moved to the lower end while sliding the outer surface of the housing 5.
At this time, when the spring 6 installed inside the steering housing 7 and the housing 5 is pressurized and the pressing force is absorbed and the driver lifts his body from the handle, the steering housing 7 is reduced to the state before the steering housing is pressed by the elasticity of the spring.
On the other hand, since the steering housing 7 is returned and at the same time the volume of the inner space 7a is increased, air flows back into the through hole 5c and returns to the original handle state.
The present invention is such that when the slidoid is operated by the collision detection sensor to open the through hole formed in the housing during the collision, the force applied to the handle is moved to the lower end of the steering housing to draw air filled in the inner side, and at the same time, the spring By absorbing, there is an effect to protect the driver from the secondary impact with the steering wheel applied to the driver in the event of a collision of the vehicle.
