Claims (1)
- 하부 기판;하부 기판상에 다수개가 등간격을 이루며 소정 방향으로 연장된 게이트 버스 라인;상기 게이트 버스 라인과 교차되도록 배치되어 단위 화소를 한정하는 다수개의 데이타 버스 라인;상기 게이트 버스 라인과 데이타 버스 라인의 교차부에 각각 배치되며, 게이트 버스 라인 선택시 스위칭되는 박막 트랜지스터;상기 단위 화소 공간에 투명한 물질로 각각 형성되며, 공통 신호를 지속적으로 인가받는 사각 플레이트 형상의 카운터 전극; 및상기 카운터 전극과 전기적으로 절연을 이루면서 오버랩되고, 박막 트랜지스터 턴온시 데이타 버스 라인의 신호를 인가받아 카운터 전극과 함께 프린지 필드를 형성하는 화소 전극으로, 상기 화소 전극은 게이트 버스 라인과 평행한 방향을 따라 배열된 복수개의 홈을 구비하고, 상기 홈의 중앙부에는 단위 화소를 구성하는 상하 게이트 버스 라인을 향해 돌출되어 상기 상하 게이트 버스 라인 사이의 중앙선을 중심으로 선대칭을 이루는 돌출부가 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 프린지 필드 구동 액정 표시 장치.
