Abstract
Description
Claims (32)
- 필요한 회절 격자 피치(Λ)를 갖는 인라인 광학 도파관 굴절 인덱스 회절 격자를 제조하는 방법에 있어서,감광성 도파관(110)을 제공하는 단계와,화학 방사선 기록 빔(132)을 제공하는 단계와,속도(ν(t))로 기록 빔에 대해 도파관을 이동시키는 단계와,기록 빔의 강도를인 관계의 주파수(f(t))에서 시간의 함수로서 변조하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 기록 빔으로부터 주기(Λ)의 강도 분포를 생성하고 강도 분포에 대해 도파관을 이동시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 강도 분포는 주기적인 강도 분포인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 강도 분포를 생성하는 단계는 기록 빔과 도파관 사이에 간섭 패턴 발생기(140)를 위치시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, 간섭 패턴 발생기는 2Λ의 주기를 갖는 위상 매스크인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 기록 빔을 제공하는 단계는 섬유를 조사하는 피크 강도(Io) 및 폭(D)을 갖는 기록 빔을 제공하는 단계를 포함하고,도파관으로 송출되는 유속량(Φ(x))은 방정식에 의해 결정되며 A는 오프셋이고 m은 무늬 선명도인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 도파관 길이를 따라 기록된 굴절 인덱스 섭동의 포락선을 제어하기 위해 기록 빔의 강도를 변화시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 기록 빔의 강도를 변화시키는 단계는 도파관 길이를 따라 굴절 인덱스 프로파일의 포락선을 제어하기 위해 Io를 변화시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 기록 빔의 강도를 변화시키는 단계는 도파관 길이를 따라 굴절 인덱스 프로파일의 포락선을 제어하기 위해 오프셋(A)을 변화시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 기록 빔의 강도를 변화시키는 단계는 도파관 길이를 따라 굴절 인덱스 프로파일의 포락선을 제어하기 위해 선명도(m)를 변화시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 기록 빔의 강도를 변화시키는 단계는 도파관 길이를 따라 굴절 인덱스 프로파일의 포락선을 제어하기 위해 속도(ν)를 변화시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, ν(t)가 상수인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, f(t)가 상수인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 기록 빔의 강도를 주파수(f(t))에서 시간의 함수로서 변조하는 단계는 회절 격자가 제조될 때 f(t)를 변화시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제13항에 있어서, f(t)는 처프 패턴 내에서 변화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 도파관을 이동시키는 단계는 회절 자가 제조될 때 ν(t)를 변화시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 도파관을 이동시키는 단계는 도파관을 스풀(170)에 결합시켜서 ν(t)로 도파관을 당기도록 스풀을 회전시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 도파관을 이동시키는 단계는 위상-고정-루프 회로를 이용해서 도파관의 속도를 제어하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 빔은 자외선 레이저 빔을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항의 방법에 따라 제조된 섬유 브랙 회절 격자.
- 제2항에 있어서, ν(t) 및 f(t)가 변수인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서, 변수들 중 하나가 통상 일정하게 유지되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제21항에 있어서, 변수들 중 적어도 하나가 복잡한 굴절 인덱스 회절 격자를 기록하기 위해 시간의 함수로서 이조되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제20항에 있어서, 길이가 적어도 1미터인 것을 특징으로 하는 섬유 브랙 회절 격자.
- 제21항에 따라 제조된 섬유 브랙 회절 격자(210)을 포함하는 분산 보상기(200).
- 제20항에 있어서, 아포디제이션된 것을 특징으로 하는 섬유 브랙 회절 격자.
- 제2항에 있어서, 도파관은 감광성 광섬유이고 굴절 인덱스 프로파일의 포락선을 제어하기 위해 기록 빔의 강도를 변화시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제27항에 있어서, 간섭그림을 구비한 주기적인 강도 패턴을 생성하는 단계는주기(2Λ)를 갖는 위상 매스크를 제공하는 단계와,기록 빔과 광섬유 사이에 위상 매스크를 위치시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제27항에 있어서, 기록 빔의 강도를 주파수(f(t))에서 시간의 함수로서 변조하는 단계는 f(t)를 변화시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제27항에 있어서, 도파관 길이를 따라 기록되는 굴절 인덱스 프로파일의 포락선을 제어하기 위해 기록 빔의 강도를 다음과 같이변화시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
