Abstract

PURPOSE: A making method of beverage containing Pinus thunbergii (black pine) needles having excellent pharmacological effects is provided to prevent arteriosclerosis, hypertension and aging. CONSTITUTION: The drink is prepared by the following steps : (i) separating pine needles and pine sprouts from collected leaves of black pine ; (ii) soaking the separated pine needles and sprouts in mineral water drawn up from base rock bed for 5-7hr and drying cleaned pine needles and sprouts with 25-35deg.C of hot air for 4-6hr ; (iii) mixing 46-50wt% of the dried pine needles and 11-13wt% of pine sprouts with 34-36wt% of black sugar and 4-6wt% of glucose and storing the mixture in a jar ; (iv) ripening the jar filled with the mixture in the sun at 65-75deg.C and diluting the ripened contents by adding 30-50% of water to 50-70% of the mixture ; (v) secondary ripening the diluted contents at 18-22deg.C for 18-22days in an ondol room ; and then (vi) getting distilled undiluted solution of the mixture by heating and pressuring the ripened contents at 120-140deg.C for 4-6hr and packing the undiluted solution.
