Abstract

본 고안은 배기장치의 이중배기앞파이프에 관한 것으로서, 특히 시동초기에 배기매니폴드에서 유출된 배기개스가 이중배기앞파이프의 유입부 한쪽을 통하여 촉매변환장치로 유입되므로써 배기개스가 이중배기앞파이프를 통과할 때 외부로 방출하는 열량이 저감되고 그만큼 촉매변환장치의 촉매재를 빨리 가열할 수 있도록 한 것이다.
이와같은 본 고안의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 배기매니폴드에서 유출된 배기개스가 유입되는 2개의 유입부와 상기 유입부로 유입된 배기개스를 촉매변환장치로 배출하는 하나의 유출부로 구성된 이중배기앞파이프에 있어서,
상기 배기매니폴드에서 유입된 배기개스가 유입되는 하나의 유입부와, 상기 유입부로 유입된 배기개스를 이중배기앞파이프로 배출하는 2개의 유출부와, 상기 유출부중 하나의 유출부를 개폐할 수 있도록 유출부에 장착되어 ECU(전자제어모듈장치)로 제어하는 전자제어밸브로 구성된 유통가변 배기관을 구비한다.

Description

유통가변 이중 배기 앞 파이프

[고안의상세한설명]
[고안의목적]

종래 배기장치의 이중배기앞파이프 구조는 도 1 에 도시한 바와같이 배기개스가 유입되는 2개의 유입부(2) 및 유입부(3)와, 상기 유입부(2)(3)로 유입된 배기개스를 배출하는 하나의 유출부(4)로 구성되었다.
이와같이 구성된 종래의 이중배기앞파이프는 도 2에 도시한 바와같이 배기매니폴드(1)에서 유출된 배기개스가 유입부(2),(3)로 유입되어 유출부(4)를 통하여 촉매변환장치(5)로 유입될 수 있도록 촉매변환장치(5)와 배기매니폴드(1)를 연결하였다.
그리고 배기매니폴드(1)와 이중배기앞파이프를 통하여 촉매변환장치(5)에 유입된 배기개스는 촉매변환장치(5)에 내장된 촉매재에 의하여 유해성분이 저감되었다.
이때 촉매변환장치(5)는 배기개스에 의하여 소정의 온도 즉 섭씨 200도 이상 가열된 후부터 촉매작용이 원활이 이루어졌다.
그러나 시동초기 즉 배기개스에 의하여 촉매재가 가열되는 시간동안은 배기개스의 유해성분이 저감되지 않고 외부로 방출되는 문제점이 있었다.
본 고안은 이와같은 문제점을 감안하여 배기개스에 의하여 촉매변환장치의 촉매재가 최단시간에 촉매작용온도로 가열하는 것이다.
[고안의구성및작용]
본 고안인 유통가변 이중배기앞파이프의 구조는 도 3 에 도시한 바와같이 배기개스가 유입되는 하나의 유입부(106)와, 상기 유입부(106)로 유입된 배기개스를 이중배기앞파이프로 배출하는 2개의 유출부(107)(108)와, 상기 유출부(107)(108)중 하나의 유출부(107)를 개폐할 수 있도록 유출부(107)에 장착되어 ECU(전자제어모듈장치)로 제어하는 전자제어밸브(109)로 구성된 가변이중배기관(110)으로 구성된다.
이와같이 구성된 유통가변 이중배기앞파이프는 도 4 에 도시한 바와같이 배기매니폴드(101)에서 유출된 배기개스가 유입부(106)를 통하여 가변이중배기관(110)의 유출부(107)(108)를 이중배기앞파이프의 유입부(102)(103)과 연결하고, 상기 가변이중배기관(110)의 유입부(106)은 배기매니폴드(101)로 그리고 상기 이중배기앞파이프의 유출부(104)는 촉매변환장치(105)에 연결한다.
그러므로써 엔진의 연소실에서 유출된 배기개스가 배기매니폴드(101), 가변배기이중관(110), 이중배기앞파이프를 통하여 촉매변환장치(105)로 유입된다.
이때 배기매니폴드(101), 가변배기이중관(110), 이중배기앞파이프를 통하여 촉매변환장치(105)로 유입된 배기개스는 촉매변환장치(105)에 내장된 촉매재에 의하여 유해성분이 저감되다.
이때 가변배기이중관(110)의 유출부(107)에 장착된 전자제어밸브(109)은 ECU의 제어로 시동초기 즉 촉매변환장치(105)의 촉매재가 촉매작용을 원활히 할 수 있는 온도 즉 섭씨 200도 이상으로 가열될때 까지 유출부(107)를 차단하여, 상기 가변배기이중관(110)의 유입부(106)으로 유입된 배개매니폴드(101)에서 유출된 배기개스가 유출부(108)와 상기 유출부(108)과 연결된 이중배기앞파이프의 유입부(103)과 유출부(104)를 통하여 촉매변환장치(105)로 유입되게한다.
이후 촉매변환장치(105)의 촉매재가 촉매작용을 원활히 할 수 있는 온도로 상승되면 ECU의 제어에 의하여 전자제어밸브(109)를 열어서 가변배기이중관(110)의 유입부(106)으로 유입된 배기매니폴드(101)에서 유출된 배기개스가 유출부(107)로 유입되게한다.
[고안의효과]
이외같이 본 고안은 시동초기에 배기매니폴드에서 유출된 배기개스가 이중배기앞파이프의 유입부 한쪽을 통하여 촉매변환장치로 유입되므로써, 배기개스가 이중배기앞파이프를 통과할 때 외부로 방출하는 열량이 저감되고 그만큼 촉매변환장치의 촉매재를 빨리 가열하여 배기개스에 의한 대기오염을 줄일 수 있는 효과가 있다.

  1. 배기개스가 유입되는 하나의 유입부(106)와, 상기 유입부(106)로 유입된 배기개스를 이중배기앞파이프로 배출하는 2개의 유출부(107)(108)와, 상기 유출부(107)(108)중 하나의 유출부(107)를 개폐할 수 있도록 유출부(107)에 장착되어 ECU(전자제어모듈장치)로 제어하는 전자제어밸브(109)로 구성된 가변이중배기관(110)으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 유통가변 이중배기앞파이프.
