Abstract
Description
도 2는 본 개시의 다른 실시예에 따른, 셀 레벨 배선에 의해 연결되는 복수 개의 서브셀을 구비한 또 다른 태양 전지의 단면도를 예시한다.
도 3a와 도 3b는 본 개시의 또 다른 실시예에 따른, 셀 레벨 배선에 의해 연결되는 복수 개의 서브셀을 구비한 태양 전지들의 단면도를 예시한다.
도 4는 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른, 서브셀들을 형성하기 위한 개별화 공정(singulation)을 이용하여 태양 전지를 제조하는 방법에서의 조작단계들(operations)을 나타내는 흐름도이다.
도 5a와 도 5b는 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른, 셀 레벨 배선에 의해 연결되는 복수 개의 서브셀을 구비한 태양 전지의 제조 방법에서의 다양한 조작단계들(도 4의 흐름도에 나타낸 조작단계들에 상응함)의 단면도를 나타낸다.
도 6은 본 개시의 다른 실시예에 따른, 서브셀들을 형성하기 위한 개별화 공정을 이용하여 태양 전지를 제조하는 또 다른 방법에서의 조작단계들을 나타내는 흐름도이다.
도 7a와 도 7b는 본 개시의 또 다른 실시예에 따른, 셀 레벨 배선에 의해 연결되는 복수 개의 서브셀을 구비한 태양 전지의 제조 방법에서의 다양한 조작단계들(도 6의 흐름도에 나타낸 조작단계들에 상응함)의 단면도를 나타낸다.
도 8은 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른, 금속 시드형 셀-상측 전극형성(on-cell metallization) 및 금속 리본형 서브셀간 전극형성(inter-sub-cell metallization)이 이루어진 다이싱된 셀에 있어서, 핑거 길이(센티미터)의 함수로서의 금속 두께(마이크론)를 나타내는 선도이다.
Claims (23)
- 태양 전지에 있어서, 상기 태양 전지는:
복수 개의 서브셀을 포함하되, 상기 복수 개의 서브셀의 각각은 개별화 공정을 거쳐 물리적으로 분리되는 반도체 기판 부분을 포함하고, 상기 복수 개의 서브셀의 각각은 서브셀의 에미터 영역들을 상호 연결(interconnect)하는 서브셀-상측 전극형성 구조체(on-sub-cell metallization structure)를 포함하며, 상기 서브셀-상측 전극형성 구조체는 복수 개의 서브셀의 후면에 위치되고;
상기 복수 개의 서브셀의 인접한 서브셀들을 연결시키는 서브셀간 전극형성 구조체(inter-sub-cell metallization structure)를 포함하되, 상기 서브셀간 전극형성 구조체는 상기 서브셀-상측 전극형성 구조체와 조성 면에서 상이하며 복수 개의 서브셀의 후면에 위치되고, 상기 서브셀간 전극형성 구조체는 복수 개의 서브셀의 인접한 서브셀들 사이에서 상응하는 스크라이브 라인을 따라 적층된 전도 특징부를 포함하며, 상기 전도 특징부는 가장 긴 길이의 스크라이브 라인과 동일한 방향을 따라 가장 긴 길이를 갖고, 스크라이브 라인은 스크라이브 라인의 일 단부에서 전도 특징부의 맞은편에 개구를 포함하며, 전도 특징부는 복수 개의 서브셀의 인접한 서브셀 사이의 스크라이브 라인 내로 연장되지 않는, 태양 전지. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 서브셀간 전극형성 구조체는 복수 개의 서브셀의 상응하는 인접한 서브셀들을 연결시키는 복수 개의 금속 리본을 포함하는 것인 태양 전지. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 복수 개의 금속 리본은 복수 개의 서브셀의 상응하는 인접한 서브셀들의 인접한 외주에 위치된 솔더 페이스트층 상에 배치되는 것인 태양 전지. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 복수 개의 금속 리본의 각각은 50 내지 300 마이크론 범위의 두께를 갖는 것인 태양 전지. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 리본 각각은 리본의 중심을 따라 하나 이상의 홀(hole)을 포함하는 것인 태양 전지. - 제5항에 있어서,
상기 하나 이상의 홀은 리본 내의 응력 완화 특징부인 태양 전지. - 제2항에 있어서,
상기 복수 개의 금속 리본의 각각은 복수 개의 서브셀의 상응하는 인접한 서브셀들 사이에 개재되어 연장되는 중간 탭(intervening tab)을 포함하는 것인 태양 전지. - 제7항에 있어서,
상기 중간 탭은 탈착식 중간 탭인 태양 전지. - 제1항에 있어서,
상기 서브셀-상측 전극형성 구조체는 금속 시드층을 포함하는 것인 태양 전지. - 제9항에 있어서,
상기 서브셀-상측 전극형성 구조체는 상기 금속 시드층만으로 구성되는 것인 태양 전지. - 삭제
