실시예 2에서 가장 항산화활성, 폴리페놀함량 및 플라보노이드 함량이 높게 나타난 50℃ 조건에서 30분 추출한 누에동충하초 물 추출물의 항산화활성 및 폴리페놀함량을 홍삼의 항산화활성 및 폴리페놀 함량과 비교 수행하였고 그 결과를 도 4에 나타내었다. 항산화 활성은 ABTS 방법으로 확인하였으며, 비교 실험에 사용한 홍삼은 정관장으로부터 제공받아 사용하였다. 천연물 중 홍삼은 면역 증진 효과를 나타내는 물질로 알려져 있으므로, 이를 본 비교대조군으로 하여 면역 증진 효과를 확인하였다.
