상기 표 3, 4에서 확인할 수 있는 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 코팅 조성물은 기피 효력이 150일 이상 지속됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 150일 이후에도 수개월 동안 충분한 기피 효력을 유지할 것으로 판단되었다. 직경 3.5cm의 원형 하드보드지 4장을 준비하고, 실시예 2 내지 4의 조성물을 각각의 하드보드지에 바탕면이 보이지 않도록 적정량 도포하고, 이를 실온에서 2시간 동안 건조하였다. 나머지 한장은 대조군으로 사용하였다. Four circular hard hardboards each having a diameter of 3.5 cm were prepared, and the compositions of Examples 2 to 4 were applied on each hard board paper in an appropriate amount so that the ground surface could not be seen, and they were dried at room temperature for 2 hours. 그리고 이에 대한 항균시험을 수행하였는바, 황색포도상구균(Staphylococcus aureus) 및 대장균(Escherichia coli)을 각 하드보드지에 접종하고, 이를 18시간 배양 후, 그 생균수를 측정하였다. 이때, 시험군과 대조군의 초기접종 생균수는 동일하였으며, 그 배양조건 역시 동일하게 하였다. 상기 제충국 추출물 및 님 추출물은 에탄올, 메탄올, 에탄올 수용액 또는 메탄올 수용액을 이용하여 추출된 것임을 특징으로 하는 항충용 코팅 조성물.
