Claims (8)
- 투과영역 및 반사영역을 포함하는 액정셀들이 매트릭스 형태로 배열된 액정표시패널과,상기 액정표시패널의 상면에 위치하고, λ/2에 해당하는 위상차를 가지는 위상차판과,상기 위상차판 상에 위치하는 제1 편광판과,상기 액정표시패널의 뒷면에 위치하는 제2 편광판과,상기 액정표시패널 뒤에 위치하여 상기 액정표시패널에 광을 공급하는 백라이트를 포함하고상기 위상차판의 투과축은 상기 제1 편광판의 투과축으로부터 -5도가 되는 위치에 배치되고, 상기 제2 편광판의 투과축은 상기 위상차판의 투과축으로부터 -95도가 되는 위치에 배치되고, 상기 투과영역에서의 액정은 상기 제2 편광판의 투과축과 일치하도록 초기 배향되고, 상기 반사영역에서의 액정은 상기 위상차판의 투과축으로부터 -50도가 되도록 초기 배향되는 반투과형 액정표시소자.
- 삭제
- 제1 항에 있어서,상기 투과영역의 액정분자의 배향각도는 A로 설정하고,상기 반사영역의 액정분자의 배향각도는 A+45도로 설정되고,상기 제2 편광판의 투과축은 A로 설정되고,상기 위상차판의 투과축은 (A+90)+5로 설정되고,상기 제1 편광판의 투과축은 (A+90)+10로 설정되는 반투과형 액정표시소자.
- 삭제
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 A는 0~ 45도를 갖는 반투과형 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 각각의 액정셀들은컬러필터 어레이가 형성된 컬러필터 어레이 기판과,액정을 사이에 두고 상기 컬러필터 어레이 기판과 합착된 박막 트랜지스터 어레이 기판을 포함하고,상기 위상차판은 상기 컬러필터 어레이기판 상에 배치되는 반투과형 액정표시소자.
- 제 6 항에 있어서, 상기 박막 트랜지스터 어레이 기판은하부 기판 위에 서로 교차되는 게이트 라인 및 데이터 라인과,상기 게이트 라인 및 데이터 라인의 교차영역에 위치하는 박막 트랜지스터와,상기 박막 트랜지스터의 드레인 전극을 노출시키는 접촉홀을 가지는 보호막과,상기 접촉홀을 통해 상기 드레인 전극과 접속되는 화소전극과,상기 화소전극과 나란하게 배치되는 공통전극과,상기 반사영역에 배치되는 반사전극을 포함하는 반투과형 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 투과영역에서의 셀갭의 두께는 상기 반사영역에서의 셀갭의 두께의 두 배가 되는 듀얼 셀갭구조인 반투과형 액정표시소자.
