According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a storage tank comprising: a storage tank disposed in a hull to store seawater; At least one thruster tunnel connected to the storage tank; An impeller for spraying seawater stored in the storage tank into a thruster tunnel; And a valve disposed in the thruster tunnel so that seawater jetted from the impeller is jetted to the port or starboard of the hull.
Description
The present invention relates to a ship capable of improving the efficiency of a thruster.
In general, ships are operated at sea by the propulsion of the propeller. The ship may be equipped with a thruster to improve its turnability. The thruster may include a thruster tunnel formed on both sides of the hull at a lower portion of the hull, and a thruster blade installed in the thruster tunnel. As the thruster blades are rotated clockwise or counterclockwise, seawater is injected into the port or starboard of the hull. The hull can be turned into a port or a posture by the injection pressure of seawater.
When the thruster is driven, cavitation phenomenon may occur near the sea water inflow side of the thruster tunnel. This cavitation phenomenon can reduce the thruster efficiency for turning the hull.
In addition, ice can freeze at sea level in places where temperatures are significantly low, such as polar regions. If there is ice at sea level, driving the thruster to turn the hull may cause ice to enter the thruster tunnel. At this time, the thruster blade may be damaged by ice.
Korean Patent Publication No. 2010-0076216 (July 6, 2010) discloses a semi-open type door for reducing the resistance of the bow thruster entrance. Semi-open doors can open and close thruster inlets.
Embodiments of the present invention provide a ship capable of improving thruster efficiency and preventing the thruster from being damaged by ice.

A plurality of thruster tunnels are formed, a plurality of connection tunnels are formed to connect the respective thruster tunnels to the storage tank, and an impeller may be disposed in each of the connection tunnels.

The valves may be disposed at the port and starboard of each thruster tunnel, respectively.
According to the embodiments of the present invention, since seawater stored in the tank is sprayed to turn the ship, the thruster efficiency is improved and the thruster is prevented from being damaged by ice.

At this time, in the case of the first embodiment, all the
Further, in the case of the second embodiment, one
Since the seawater stored in the
In addition, since the seawater in the sea is not directly sucked into the
In addition, since the plurality of
While the present invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, but, on the contrary, It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
