Abstract
An embodiment of the present invention provides a track pad and an electronic device having the same, which improves the unity with the screen of the display device, expresses various colors, and detects fingerprint and finger movement. The track pad according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a main body, a sensor, and a cover glass. Here, the main body forms a track pad body having fingerprint sensing and finger movement sensing, and an upper portion thereof is opened and a mounting portion is formed inside. The sensor is mounted on the mounting part. And the cover glass is provided in the upper part of a main body part, and covers a main body part.
Description
The present invention relates to a track pad and an electronic device having the same, and more particularly, to a track pad capable of sensing a movement of a fingerprint and a finger and an electronic device having the same.
Generally, a pointing device is used for electronic devices such as mobile terminals, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and tablet PCs.
Such a pointing device detects a signal that changes according to the movement of a finger, which is a subject, so that a pointer such as a cursor can be moved or a user can input desired information or a command.
On the other hand, fingerprint recognition technology is also used to go through the user registration and authentication procedures to prevent security accidents through the protection of data stored in such electronic devices.
Recently, a device such as a biometric track pad (BTP), which has a function of detecting a finger fingerprint and a navigation pointing function for performing a pointer operation, has also been used.

In order to solve the above problems, the technical problem to be achieved by the present invention is to increase the sense of unity with the screen of the display device, it is possible to express a variety of colors, having a track pad that can detect the movement of the fingerprint and finger and To provide an electronic device.
In order to achieve the above technical problem, an embodiment of the present invention is a track pad having a fingerprint detection function and a finger movement detection function, forming a body of the track pad, the upper portion is open and the mounting portion is formed on the inside ; A sensor mounted on the mounting unit; And it is provided on the top of the main body to provide a track pad comprising a cover glass covering the main body.
Here, the display electrode may be patterned on the cover glass.
The display electrode may be patterned at a portion other than a portion where the sensor is vertically projected onto the cover glass.
In addition, the surface of the body portion may be provided with a conductive portion electrically connected to the display electrode.
The conductive part and the sensor may be electrically connected by a first connection line.
The conductive part may include a light emitting part electrically connected to the conductive part by a second connection line.
A light diffusing color film may be attached to the bottom surface of the cover glass.
In addition, a color film may be provided on the bottom surface of the cover glass.
The cover glass may be integrally formed with the cover glass of the display device.
In addition, an embodiment of the present invention is a track pad having a fingerprint detection and finger movement detection function, the body portion forming the body of the track pad, the top is open and the mounting portion is formed on the inside; A sensor mounted on the mounting unit; The present invention provides an electronic device including a display device provided on an upper portion of the main body and having a track pad including a cover glass covering the main body.
According to the present invention, it is possible to implement a track pad whose upper surface is made of a cover glass, and by integrating the cover glass of the track pad with the cover glass of the display device, it is possible to increase the sense of unity without dissimilarity with the display device.
In addition, according to the present invention, the shine function can be implemented by emitting light inside the track pad to emit light, and help the user to easily recognize the position of the track pad. It can provide aesthetics.
In addition, according to the present invention, the color film is attached to the cover glass or ink printing is performed, it is possible to implement the color on the track pad.
It should be understood that the effects of the present invention are not limited to the above effects and include all effects that can be deduced from the detailed description of the present invention or the configuration of the invention described in the claims.
