Abstract

본원은 사용자에게 상해 위험성을 감소시키면서 안정적으로 입 안의 연부조직을 효율적으로 세척하는데 사용하는 연부조직 세척기를 가진 구강 관리 기구에 관한 것이다. 1구성에서, 돌기는 경성 재료와 연성 재료를 조합하여 형성된다. 경성 재료는 입 안에 있는 혀 또는 그외 다른 조직에서 표적물을 세척하는데 안정적인 것인 반면에, 연성 재료는 안정감과 상해 위험성을 감소시키는 역할을 한다.

Description

구강 관리 기구{ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT}
본 발명은 혀 세척기(tongue cleanser)를 가진 구강 관리 기구 또는 입 안에 있는 혀 및 그외 다른 연부조직(soft tissue)을 세척하는 구강 관리 부재에 관한 것이다.
미국치과협회(ADA)에 따르면, 건강한 사람의 구취는 흔히 혀에 퇴적한 미세한 음식물 찌꺼기에 기인한다고 한다. 혀의 유두 성질로 인하여, 혀에는 구강 박테리아가 축적되기에 좋은 대형의 표면 장소를 제공하는 독특한 생태학적 부위가 만들어 진다. 혀에서 기거하는 혐기성 식물과 박테리아의 성장은 일반적으로 입냄새라고 불리우는 만성적 악취를 내게 한다.
종래 사용되어져 왔던 혀 세척기는 필요에 적절하게 따르지 않았던 것이다. 종래 세척기는 전형적으로 사용자에게 불편하며 상해 위험이 있었고 그리고/또는 효율성이 결여되었던 것이다.
따라서, 현재 안정적이고 안전하게, 박테리아를 효율적으로 제거하면서 그외 다른 표적물도 제거하는 혀 세척기를 갖춘 구강 관리 기구의 필요성이 제기되어져 있다.
본 발명은 사용자에게 안정적이고 상해 위험성이 낮아진 안전한 상태에서 입 안에 있는 혀 및 다른 연부조직을 세척하도록 경성(hard) 및 연성(soft) 재료를 조합하여 제공된 혀 세척기를 가진 구강 관리 기구에 관한 것이다.
1실시예에서, 구강 관리 기구는 헤드와 상기 헤드로부터 돌출된 적어도 1개의 돌기(projection)를 구비하여 사용자의 입 안에 있는 연부조직을 세척한다. 상기 돌기는 제1경도값(hardness value)의 제1재료로 이루어진 제1부분과 제2경도 값의 제2재료로 이루어진 제2부분으로 구성된 복합 부분(multiple components)으로 형성된다. 상기 제2부분은 제1부분의 일 부분 위에 배치되며, 상기 제1 및 제2경도 값은 서로 다르다. 조직 세척부(tissue cleansing projection)는 제2부분에 제공된다. 다른 구성에서는 제1경도 값이 제2경도 값보다 크다.
본 발명의 다른 면에서, 칫솔은 연부조직과 접촉하여 세척하도록 헤드로부터 원격져 선단부(tip)를 가진 기부(base)가 있는 돌기를 구비하며, 연성 재료의 부분은 적어도 상기 기부의 선단부 위에 배치되며, 상기 제2부분은 제1부분으로부터 신장된 조직 세척부를 구비한다.
1실시예에서, 혀 세척기는 기구의 헤드로부터 신장된 적어도 1개의 세척 돌기를 형성하도록 합체된 2개의 부분으로 형성된다. 혀 세척기의 2개 부분 중의 1개 부분은 상당한 경성 재료로 이루어져 안정적이고 효율적으로 연부조직의 세척작용을 할 수 있게 한다. 다른 1개의 부분은 상당한 연성 재료로 이루어져 기구를 사용하는 동안에 사용자에게 편안감과 안전감을 준다.

본 발명에 따르는 구강 관리 기구를 칫솔(10) 형태로 도시한 도1 및 도2를 참고로 하여 설명한다. 그러나, 본 발명은 간단하게 조직-세척 기구(tissue-cleansing implement)를 구비하는 다른 구강 관리 기구도 포함 할 수 있는 것이다. 칫솔(10)은 헤드(12)와 손잡이(14)로 이루어진다. 도1은 헤드에 연결된 손잡이 연결부만을 나타내었지만, 상기 손잡이는 길게 신장된 부재로 사용인이 잡을 수 있게 이루어진 것이다. 손잡이(14)는 사용인의 치아를 닦고 그리고/또는 혀를 세척하는데 필요한 손 조작을 하는데 적합한 공지된 형태와 구성으로 이루어 진다. 헤드(12)는 일 측면(16)으로부터 신장된 칫솔질 요소(20)와 타 측면(17)에 설치된 연부조직 세척부분(21)이 대향 짝으로 반대 면으로 이루어진 면(16, 17)을 갖는다. 상기 연부조직 세척부분(21)은 입 안에서 치아 이외에 다른 부위와 접촉하는 데에도 사용되지만, 주 사용은 혀 세척기로 사용되는 것이기에, 설명의 편의를 위해 본원에서는 혀 세척기로 정의하고 설명한다. 헤드(12)를 도시한 바와 같이 길게 늘여진 타원형(oblong) 형태로 나타내었지만, 헤드는 다른 공지된 형태로 이루어질 수 있는 것이다.
상기 칫솔질 요소(20)는 다양한 형태와 크기의 칫솔모 및/또는 엘라스토머 부재 이다. 상기 요소(20)는 사용자의 치아를 닦는데 적절하게 이루어진 임의적인 형태 또는 조합체로 사용된다.
혀 세척부(21)는 입 안에 혀와 다른 연부조직(예를 들면, 뺨의 안쪽 면)을 세척하기 위한 돌기(22)를 적어도 1개, 바람직하게는 복수개를 포함한다. 상기 혀 세척부(21)의 돌기는 바람직하게 칫솔질 요소(20)도 있는 헤드에 형성되지만, 이들은 다른 기구 또는 칫솔의 다른 부분에 형성될 수 있는 것이다. 임의적으로 기구의 헤드로 언급한 것은 단순히 입 안으로 들어가는 기구의 동작부분을 언급한 것으로, 헤드의 특정 형태, 구성 또는 구역을 언급한 것은 아니다. 본 발명에서는 각각의 돌기를 경성과 연성 재료를 조합하여 형성하여, 편안하고 상해로부터 안전한 상태로 혀(또는 다른 연부조직)를 양호하게 세척하는 뛰어난 작용효과를 발휘 한다.

본 발명의 혀 또는 조직 세척부가 헤드를 측면방향으로 횡단하여 신장된 복수개의 융기부와 관련하여 주로 설명되었더라도, 본 발명의 개념은 혀 세척기로서 사용할 수 있는 모든 종류의 사용가능한 돌기에 적용 할 수 있는 것이다. 예를 들어, 상기 융기부는 본원에 참고문헌으로 기재된 2004년 11월 17일자로 오랄케어 임플리먼트가 출원한 현재 계류중인 미국특허출원 10/989,267호에 개재된 바와 같은 헤드 상에 있는 모든 종류의 형태와 구조로 이루어질 수 있는 것이다. 더우기, 상기 돌기는 비-융기 돌기 또는 융기와 비-융기 돌기의 혼합체로 형성될 수도 있다.
상술한 본 발명을 예를 들어 실시하는 실시예는 본 발명을 설명할 목적으로 기재된 것으로, 본 발명을 한정하는 것이 아닌 것으로 이해하여야 한다. 따라서 본 발명은, 본원의 첨부 청구범위의 정신을 이탈하지 않는 범위 내에서 상술한 구성을 다양하게 변경하여 이루어지는 모든 메카니즘과 상호작용 모드를 포함하는 것이다.

Claims (17)

  1. 헤드의 제1면에서부터 연장하는 치아 세척 소자를 구비하는 헤드와 사용자의 입 안의 연부조직을 세척하는 헤드의 제2면으로부터 돌출되고 복수의 구성요소로 형성된 적어도 1개의 복합 돌기를 포함하는 구강 관리 기구에서,
    상기 복합 돌기는,
    제1경도값을 구비하는 제1재료로 형성된 기부,
    제2경도값을 구비하는 제2재료로 형성되고 상기 기부의 일부를 덮고 있는 제1층; 및
    상기 제1층으로부터 연장되고 상기 제2재료로 형성되는 제2층을 포함하고,
    상기 제2층은 상기 제2층으로부터 신장하는 돌출부를 형성하는 연성재료를 포함하며, 상기 제1경도값과 상기 제2경도값은 서로 다른 값을 구비하며, 상기 연성 재료는 상기 제2재료로 형성되고 제2층과 일체형인 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1경도값은 상기 제2경도값 보다 큰 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기부는 임의 폭을 갖고, 상기 연성재료는 제1두께를 갖고, 제1층은 제2두께를 구비하고, 상기 제2층은 제3두께를 갖고; 상기 기부의 폭으로 나눈 제1두께, 제2두께 및 제3두께의 합은 1.0 미만의 비율을 형성한 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 연성재료는 연부조직을 세척하도록 협폭의 원격져 있는 단부를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  5. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제2층은 그로부터 신장된 복수개의 연성재료를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  6. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 제1층 및 상기 제2층은 연성의 열가소성 엘라스토머로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  7. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 기부는 헤드의 제2면으로부터 돌출하며, 상기 제1층은 상기 헤드의 제2면 전체를 덮고 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기부는 연부조직과 접촉하여 세척하도록 헤드로부터 원격져서 선단부를 갖고, 상기 제2층은 전체 기부 위를 덮고 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 기부의 선단부는 제1및 제2층 너머로 돌출되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  10. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 헤드는 제1층의 일 부분이 고정되는 리세스를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 기부는 상기 리세스로부터 외부로 돌출되고, 상기 제1층은 상기 리세스를 채우며 상기 헤드의 제2면으로부터 연장하는 외부 면을 정의하는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  12. 제11항에 있어서, 상기 외부 면은 굽어진 볼록한 형태를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  13. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제1층 및 상기 제2층은 열가소성 엘라스토머로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  14. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 기부는 헤드와 일체형 부분으로 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  15. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 기부는 경성의 플라스틱 재료로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  16. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 제1층 및 제2층은 열가소성 엘라스토머로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
  17. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1층 및 상기 제2층은 열가소성 엘라스토머로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 구강 관리 기구.
