Description
Claims (20)
- 제 1 변조 방식을 사용해서 변조된 데이터를 송수신할 수 있는 제 1 스테이션과,제 2 변조 방식을 사용해서 변조된 데이터를 송수신할 수 있는 제 2 스테이션과,상기 제 1 및 제 2 스테이션과 통신하는 액세스 포인트를 포함하며,상기 액세스 포인트는 무충돌 기간(a contention-free period) - 상기 무충돌 기간 후에 충돌 기간(a contention period)이 후속함 - 의 시작을 나타내는 비컨 프레임(a beacon frame)을 전송하고,상기 무충돌 기간은 상기 제 2 스테이션이 분산 조정 기능 액세스 매커니즘(a distributed coordination function access mechanism)에 따른 상기 제 2 변조 방식에 따라서 변조된 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 서브 충돌 기간을 포함하는시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 변조 방식은 DSSS/CCK 변조 방식인시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 변조 방식은 OFDM 변조 방식인시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 서브 충돌 기간은 상기 무충돌 기간의 끝에 일어나는시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 액세스 포인트는 상기 서브 충돌 기간의 길이를 동적으로 조정하는시스템.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 액세스 포인트는 상기 제 1 및 제 2 스테이션 각각의 대역폭 요구 조건에 기초해서 상기 서브 충돌 기간의 길이를 추가로 조정하는시스템.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 액세스 포인트는 상기 제 1 및 제 2 변조 방식을 사용하는 디바이스의 각각의 수에 기초해서 상기 서브 충돌 기간의 길이를 추가로 조정하는시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 충돌 기간 동안, 상기 제 2 스테이션은 상기 제 2 변조 방식을 나타내는 정보를 포함하는 송신 요청 프레임(a request-to-send frame)을 송신하는시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 서브 충돌 기간 동안, 상기 제 2 스테이션은 상기 제 2 변조 방식에 따라 변조된 송신 요청 프레임 및 송신-클리어(clear-to-send) 프레임을 전송하는시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 스테이션은 시스템에 결합될 때, 제 2 변조 성능을 나타내는 정보 필드를 송신하는시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 시스템은 IEEE 802.11 사양에 따라 동작하는시스템.
- 제 1 변조 방식에 따라서 변조된 데이터를 송수신할 수 있는 제 1 스테이션 및 제 2 변조 방식에 따라서 변조된 데이터를 송수신할 수 있는 제 2 스테이션과 근거리 통신망(local area network)을 통해서 통신하기 위한 액세스 포인트에 있어서,상기 액세스 포인트는 무충돌 기간 - 상기 무충돌 기간 후에 충돌 기간이 후속함 - 의 시작을 나타내는 비컨 프레임을 전송하고,상기 무충돌 기간은, 상기 제 2 스테이션이 분산 조정 기능 액세스 매커니즘에 따른 상기 제 2 변조 방식에 따라서 변조된 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 서브 충돌 기간을 포함하는액세스 포인트.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 변조 방식은 DSSS/CCK 변조 방식인액세스 포인트.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 변조 방식은 OFDM 변조 방식인액세스 포인트.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 액세스 포인트는 상기 서브 충돌 기간의 길이를 동적으로 조정하는액세스 포인트.

- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 액세스 포인트는 상기 제 2 스테이션이 상기 근거리 통신망에 결합될 때, 제 2 변조 성능을 나타내는 정보 필드를 상기 제 2 스테이션으로부터 수신하는액세스 포인트.
- 제 1 변조 방식을 사용해서 데이터를 송수신할 수 있는 근거리 통신망 내의 스테이션에 있어서 - 상기 근거리 통신망은 제 2 변조 방식을 사용해서 데이터를 송수신할 수 있는 제 2 스테이션 및 제 1 및 제 2 스테이션과 통신하는 액세스 포인트를 더 포함함 - ,상기 스테이션은 무충돌 기간 - 상기 무충돌 기간 후에 충돌 기간이 후속함 - 의 시작을 나타내고 상기 액세스 포인트에 의해 전송되는 비컨 프레임을 수신하고,상기 무충돌 기간은 상기 스테이션이 상기 제 1 변조 방식에 따라서 또한, 분산 조정 기능 액세스 매커니즘에 따라서 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 서브 충돌 기간을 포함하는스테이션.
