Claims (9)
- 통신 기업의 통신 서비스를 보호하는 방법에 있어서,상기 통신 기업 내의 하나 이상의 내선(extension)에 대한 호출 형태의 인지된 내선 공격(a perceived extension attack)을 검출하는 단계―상기 검출은 상기 호출의 적어도 하나의 속성 분석을 포함함―와,상기 적어도 하나의 속성 분석에 기초하여, 상기 호출과 관련된 위험을 분류하는 단계와,상기 호출과 관련된 상기 위험에 따라 상기 인지된 공격을 억제하도록 교정 동작(a remedial action)을 취하는 단계를 포함하되,상기 검출 단계는, 알고리즘을 생성하고, 동일한 소스로부터 수신된 두 개의 별개의 호출의 매체 스트림에 상기 알고리즘을 적용하며, 상기 매체 스트림에 대해 각각의 해쉬 값을 생성하고, 상기 해쉬 값들을 비교하며, 상기 해쉬 값들이 사전지정된 범위 내에 속하면 교정 동작을 취하는 것을 더 포함하는통신 서비스 보호 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 호출을 기록(recording)하는 단계와,상기 통신 기업의 관리자에게 상기 호출과 관련된 위험 및 타입을 경고하여, 상기 관리자가 상기 취해진 교정 동작에 영향을 미치도록 하는 단계를 더 포함하는통신 서비스 보호 방법.

- 통신 기업의 통신 서비스를 보호하는 방법에 있어서,상기 통신 기업 내의 하나 이상의 내선에 대한 호출 형태의 인지된 내선 공격을 검출하는 단계―상기 검출은 상기 호출의 적어도 하나의 속성 분석을 포함함―와,상기 적어도 하나의 속성 분석에 기초하여, 상기 호출과 관련된 위험을 분류하는 단계와,상기 호출과 관련된 상기 위험에 따라 상기 인지된 공격을 억제하도록 교정 동작을 취하는 단계를 포함하되,상기 검출 단계는, (i) 호출 소스로부터 상기 기업으로 송신된 호출 시퀀스를 분석하여, 상기 호출 시퀀스가 사전결정된 허가할 수 없는(objectionable) 호출 시퀀스와 일치하면, 상기 교정 동작을 취하고, (ii) 상기 기업에서의 미관리 번호로 송신된 호출을 검출하여, 상기 미관리 번호에 대한 호출의 수가 허가할 수 없는 사전결정된 값에 도달하면, 상기 교정 동작을 취하며, (iii) 호출이 호출 소스로부터 송신되는 시간을 분석하여, 정규 동작시간 이후에 수신된 호출의 수가 사전결정된 호출의 수를 초과하면, 상기 교정 동작을 취하고, (iv) 호출 소스를 분석하여, 상기 호출 소스가 팩스, 음성 또는 모뎀인지의 여부를 판단하며, (v) 호출이 상기 기업 내의 내선으로부터 행해지는지의 여부를 판단하고, (vi) 호출 소스로부터의 복수의 호출이 단일 또는 다수의 지속기간을 갖는지의 여부를 검출하며, (vii) 호출 소스로부터 수신된 호출의 수를 검출하여, 상기 수신된 호출의 수가 허가할 수 없는 수의 호출을 포함하는지의 여부를 판단하고, (viii) 위조(spoofed) 호출의 소스 ID 속성과 실제 호출 소스 ID를 비교함으로써 상기 위조 호출 소스를 검출―룩업(look-up) 또는 역 룩업을 수행하여, 상기 실제 호출 소스를 결정함―하는 것 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는통신 서비스 보호 방법.
- 통신 시스템에 있어서,통신 네트워크에 상호접속된 통신 서버―상기 통신 서버는 적어도 하나의 공격 소스로부터 상기 네트워크를 통해 통신을 수신함―와,어드레스를 가지며, 상기 통신 서버를 통해 상기 네트워크로부터 통신을 수신하는 제 1 통신 장치와,상기 통신 서버와 관련된 내선 공격 방지 애플리케이션(extension attack prevention application)―상기 애플리케이션은 호출의 호출 속성을 분석하고, 상기 호출과 관련된 위험을 할당하고, 상기 할당된 위험이 사전결정된 교정 동작에 대한 기준을 만족시키면, 인지된 공격을 억제하기 위한 교정 동작을 제안함―을 포함하되,상기 내선 공격 방지 애플리케이션은, (i) 위조 호출의 소스와 실제 호출 소스를 비교함으로써 상기 위조 호출 소스를 검출하는 수단―룩업 또는 역 룩업을 수행하여, 상기 실제 호출 소스를 결정함―과, (ii) 내선 공격에 대해 분석된 상기 호출의 속성에 적용되는 적어도 하나의 규칙―상기 속성은 호출 지속기간, 호출 방향, 호출 타입, 시간, 호출 목적지, 위조 호출 소스, 매체 해쉬 값 및 상기 호출의 호출 소스로부터 수신된 호출의 수 중 적어도 하나를 포함하며, 상기 규칙은 상기 교정 동작을 취할지의 여부를 결정하는 것과 관련됨―과, (iii) 상기 호출과 관련된 전체 위험을 평가하는 수단―상기 평가 수단은 상기 호출의 복수의 속성의 분석을 포함하고, 상기 속성은 매체 해쉬 값, 호출 지속기간, 호출 방향, 호출 타입, 시간, 호출 목적지, 위조 호출 소스 및 상기 호출의 호출 소스로부터 수신된 호출의 수 중 적어도 하나를 포함함―과, (iv) 상기 통신 시스템의 관리자에게 상기 인지된 공격 및 상기 공격과 관련된 할당된 위험을 통지하여, 상기 관리자가 취해진 상기 교정 동작을 조정할 수 있도록 하는 수단과, (v) 상기 통신 서버 내에 통합된 실행가능 프로그래밍 인스트럭션―적어도 하나의 데이터베이스는 상기 프로그래밍 인스트럭션과 관련되고, 상기 프로그래밍 인스트럭션은 이전에 발생한 내선 공격의 이력 분석(historical analysis)에 적어도 일부분 기초해서 공격과 관련된 위험의 할당을 변경하도록 시간에 걸쳐 수정됨― 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는통신 시스템.

- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 평가 수단은 상기 호출 속성들 중 적어도 하나에 적용된 계산을 포함하고, 적어도 하나의 분석된 호출 속성과 관련된 위험을 할당하는통신 시스템.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 통지 수단은 상기 통신 서버에 통합된 대화형 음성 응답 애플리케이션(interactive voice response application)을 포함하고, 상기 관리자는 교정 동작 옵션을 선택함으로써 적절한 교정 동작 발생시에 다수의 옵션을 제공받는통신 시스템.
