Claims (9)
- 듀얼 모드 디스플레이(dual mode display)에 있어서:단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이(monochrome reflective direct view display)로서, 제 1 화소 구성을 갖는 디스플레이 패널과, 상기 디스플레이 패널 뒤쪽에 배치된 협대역 반사기(narrowband reflector)를 포함하는, 상기 단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이; 및제 2 화소 구성을 갖는, 상기 협대역 반사기 뒤쪽에 배치된 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이(full color virtual display)로서, 각각의 화소는 상기 단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이를 통해 3개의 기본 컬러 대역들 중 하나로 광을 방사하고, 상기 각각의 화소로부터 방사된 광은, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이의 다른 화소들에 의해 방사된 광과 조합하여, 상기 듀얼 모드 디스플레이로부터 풀 컬러 가상 이미지를 생성하는, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이를 포함하는, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 디스플레이 패널은 광대역의 입사 가시광(incident visible light)을 상기 협대역 반사기로 전송하고,상기 협대역 반사기는 입사 가시광의 컬러 대역 내의 광만을 상기 디스플레이 패널에 반사하고, 상기 3개의 기본 컬러 대역들 내의 광을 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이에서 상기 디스플레이 패널로 전송하는, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 3개의 기본 컬러 대역들은 입사 가시광의 컬러 대역과 오버랩하지 않는, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 3개의 기본 컬러 대역들 중 적어도 하나는 입사 가시광의 컬러 대역과 오버랩하고, 상기 3개의 기본 컬러 대역들에 대한 컬러 레벨들이 수정되어, 상기 협대역 반사기에 의해, 상기 입사 가시광의 컬러 대역 내의 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이에 의해 방사된 광의 감쇄를 보상하는, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이는 액정 마이크로 디스플레이, 광 소스 및 광학부들(optics)을 포함하고, 상기 액정 마이크로 디스플레이는 상기 단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이에 의해 최소 가상 이미지 감쇄를 위하여 최적화된 정적 편광(static polarization)을 갖는, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이는 높은 정보 콘텐트 디스플레이며, 상기 단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이는 낮은 정보 콘텐트 디스플레이인, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 직접 뷰 모드 및 가상 디스플레이 뷰 모드 간의 상기 듀 얼 모드 디스플레이를 스위칭하기 위한 스위치 수단을 더 포함하는, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이.
- 전자 장치에 있어서,듀얼 모드 디스플레이 및 스위치 수단을 포함하고,상기 듀얼 모드 디스플레이는:단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이로서,제 1 화소 구성을 갖는 디스플레이 패널, 및상기 디스플레이 패널 뒤쪽에 배치된 협대역 반사기를 포함하는, 상기 단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이; 및제 2 화소 구성을 가진 협대역 반사기 뒤쪽에 배치된 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이로서, 각각의 화소는 단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이를 통해 3개의 기본 컬러 대역들 중 하나로 광을 방사하고, 상기 각각의 화소로부터 방사된 광은, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이의 다른 화소들에 의해 방사된 광과 조합하여, 상기 듀얼 모드 디스플레이로부터 풀 컬러 가상 이미지를 생성하는, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이를 포함하는, 전자 장치.
- 듀얼 모드 디스플레이를 제조하기 위한 방법에 있어서:단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이의 디스플레이 뒤쪽에 협대역 반사기를 배치하는 단계로서, 상기 디스플레이 패널은 제 1 화소 구성을 갖는, 상기 협대역 반사 기 배치 단계; 및상기 협대역 반사기 뒤쪽에 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이를 배치하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이는 제 2 화소 구성을 가지고, 각각의 화소는 상기 단색 반사형 직접 뷰 디스플레이를 통해 3개의 기본 컬러 대역들 중 하나로 광을 방사하고, 상기 각각의 화소에 의해 방사된 광은, 상기 풀 컬러 가상 디스플레이의 다른 화소들에 의해 방사된 광과 조합하여, 상기 듀얼 모드 디스플레이로부터 풀 컬러 이미지를 생성하는, 듀얼 모드 디스플레이 제조 방법.
