Claims (17)
- 다수의 이동국들이 무선 액세스 네트워크(RAN), 적어도 하나의 서비스 GPRS 지원 노드(SGSN) 및 적어도 하나의 게이트웨이 GPRS 지원 노드(GGSN)를 구비한 네트워크, 그리고 인터넷을 통해 다수의 서버들에 통신하는 모바일 통신 네트워크에서, 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템으로서,특정 데이터 흐름과 관련된 각각의 사용자의 식별자를 포함하는 정보를 상기 RAN과 상기 SGSN사이의 인터페이스로부터 추출하는 하나 이상의 Gb 프로브;상기 RAN으로부터의 정체 및 트래픽 정보를 제공하는 네트워크 관리 시스템(NMS);이동국의 각각의 사용자에 대한 서비스의 타입 및 품질에 관한 정보를 제공하는 고객 데이터베이스;상기 Gb 프로브들, 상기 NMS 및 상기 고객 데이터베이스로부터의 정보가 셀 단위(cell-by-cell basis)로 각각의 데이터 흐름에 대한 트래픽을 최적화하기 위해 취해질 동작들을 결정하는데 사용되는 정책 결정 포인트(policy decision point); 및상기 정책 결정 포인트에 의해 결정된 상기 동작들을 실행하기 위한 트래픽 최적화기를 포함하는, 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 정보가 상기 정책 결정 포인트에 제공되는 경우에, 상기 인터넷에서의 지연에 관한 정보를 제공하는 IP 프로브를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 정책 결정 포인트는 상기 네트워크의 상태와 관련하여 수신된 정보에 따라 취해질 동작을 자동으로 결정하는 유한 상태 머신에 기초하여 정책 결정을 자동으로 생성하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 정책 결정 포인트는 새로운 정책들과 현재 정책들이 일치(consistency)하는지를 체크하는 수단을 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 새로운 정책이 현재 정책과 불일치로서 식별되는 경우에 상기 정책 결정 포인트의 사용자에게 알람이 발생되는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 트래픽 최적화기는 상기 인터넷으로부터 도달한 트래픽을 상기 트래픽이 통과할 상기 RAN내의 셀의 식별자에 의해 식별된 컴포넌트들(component)로 분리시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 6항에 있어서, 상기 분리된 트래픽은 TCP 윈도우 클램핑, 승인 제어 메커니즘, 압축, TCP ACK 간격(spacing), 로컬 TCP 응답, IP 트래픽 세이핑(shaping) 및 로컬 TCP 재전송으로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 최적화 기술을 사용하여 셀 단위(cell-by-cell basis)로 최적화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 트래픽 최적화기는 Gi 인터페이스에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 홈 위치 레지스터(HLR:Home Location Register)는 상기 네트워크에서 이동국들의 사용자에 관한 추가 정보를 제공하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 정책 결정 포인트는 지능형 서비스 제어 포인트(ISCP)에서 구현된 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 시스템.
- 무선 액세스 네트워크(RAN), 패킷 기반 코어 네트워크 및 인터넷을 통해 연결되는, 이동국들의 사용자들과 서버들 사이의 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법으로서,특정 트래픽 흐름과 관련된 각각의 사용자의 식별자를 포함하는 정보를 상기 RAN 및 상기 패킷 기반 네트워크사이의 인터페이스로부터 추출하는 단계;상기 RAN으로부터의 정체 및 트래픽 정보에 관한 정보를 네트워크 관리 시스템(NMS)으로부터 수집하는 단계;이동국의 각각의 사용자에 대한 서비스의 타입 및 품질에 관한 데이터를 고객 데이터베이스로부터 검색하는 단계;상기 RAN 및 상기 패킷 기반 네트워크사이의 인터페이스로부터 추출된 정보, 상기 네트워크 관리 시스템(NMS)으로부터 수집된 정보, 및 상기 고객 데이터베이스로부터 검색된 데이터를 정책 결정 포인트에 입력하는 단계;각각의 데이터 흐름에 대한 트래픽을 최적화하기 위하여 어느 동작들이 취해져야 하는지를 상기 정책 결정 포인트에서 결정하는 단계; 및셀 단위(cell-by-cell basis)로 상기 동작들을 실행하기 위하여 상기 동작들을 트래픽 최적화기에 전송하는 단계를 포함하는, 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서, 상기 인터넷에서의 지연에 관한 데이터를 하나 이상의 IP 프로브로부터 수집하는 단계; 및상기 수집된 데이터를 상기 정책 결정 포인트에 입력하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서, 어느 동작들이 취해져야 하는지를 결정하는 상기 단계는 수용 불가능 상태(unacceptable state)로부터 수용가능 상태(acceptable state)로, 또는 준최적 상태(sub-optimal state)로부터 수용가능 상태로 전환시키기 위하여 어느 동작들이 필요한지를 자동으로 결정하기 위하여 유한 상태 머신을 사용하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서, 어느 동작들이 취해져야 하는지를 결정하는 상기 단계는 새로운 정책들과 현재 정책들과의 일치(consistency)를 체크하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서, 일치를 체크하는 상기 단계는 새로운 정책이 현재 정책과 불일치하는 것으로서 식별되는 경우에 상기 정책 결정 포인트의 사용자에게 알람을 발생시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서, 상기 인터넷으로부터 상기 트래픽 최적화기에 도달하는 트래픽을 상기 트래픽이 통과할 RAN내의 셀의 식별자에 의해 식별된 컴포넌트들로 분리시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법.
- 제 16항에 있어서, 상기 분리된 트래픽은, TCP 윈도우 클램핑, 승인 제어 메커니즘, 압축, TCP ACK 간격, 로컬 TCP 응답, IP 트래픽 세이핑 및 로컬 TCP 재전송으로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 최적화 기술을 사용하여 셀 단위로 최적화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 트래픽 흐름을 자동으로 최적화하기 위한 방법.
