Claims (2)
- 어레이 기판;상기 어레이 기판과 대향 배치된 컬러필터 기판;상기 컬러필터 기판 내측면에 형성된 블랙매트릭스;상기 어레이 기판 내측면 및 블랙매트릭스를 포함한 컬러필터 기판 내측면 각각에 형성된 화소전극 및 상대전극;상기 화소전극 및 상대전극 내측면 각각에 형성된 하부 배향막 및 상부 배향막;상기 어레이 기판과 컬러필터 기판 사이에 개재된 액정층; 및상기 어레이 기판과 컬러필터 기판의 외측면 각각에 배치되며, 투과축들이 서로 직교하는 하부 편광판 및 상부 편광판;을 포함하며,상기 상부 배향막은 컬러필터 기판의 외측면으로부터 조사된 자외선에 의해 블랙매트릭스로 가려지지 않은 부분은 수평배향 특성을 갖고 블랙매트릭스로 가려진 부분은 배향 특성을 갖지 않도록 하여, 상기 배향 특성을 갖지 않는 상부 배향막 부분에 대응하는 액정층 부분이 스플레이 배향에서 밴드 배향으로의 전이핵으로 기능하는 것을 특징으로 하는 OCB 모드 액정표시장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 하부 배향막은 러빙처리에 의한 수평배향 특성을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 OCB 모드 액정표시장치.
