Abstract
Description
화살표(3)에 따라, 종래의 통신 아키텍쳐에서 프로토콜 장치와 장치 드라이버 사이에 발생하는 네트워크의 선택이, 미리 실제적 프로토콜 장치에 재배치됨과 아울러 도시된 예에서 운영체제 커널(10)로의 액세스 직후에 재배치되어, 통신동작이 더 빠른 통신 경로(19)로 재경로 설정될 수 있다. 그러나, 여기서 이러한 경로설정은 원하는 통신접속이 통신 경로(19)를 통해 관리될 수 있을 때에만 일어난다. 그렇지 않으면, 종래의 운영체제 통신으로 돌아간다. 화살표(4)에 따라 운영체제로부터 SAN 네트워크 하드웨어로의 기능성의 재배치는 개별적 통신 단의 형태로 제공된 통신 인터페이스의 다중처리성(multiprocessability)에 의해 실현된다. 필요한 메모리 구성요소의 보호절차는 알려져 있으며, 상기 보호절차는 컴퓨터의 메모리관리 구성요소에 의해 하드웨어측에서 실행된다.
Claims (7)
- 싱글 컴퓨터들이 표준 네트워크 LAN 및 고성능 네트워크 SAN을 통해 상호 연결되어 있고, 상기 싱글 컴퓨터 각각은 운영체제 커널 내에서 통신 프로토콜을 제공하기 위해 표준 네트워크 LAN과 연결되어 있는 프로토콜장치와 상기 운영체제 커널의 전방에 연결되어 있는 라이브러리를 포함하며, 상기 라이브러리 상의 통신 인터페이스에 애플리케이션이 부착되어 있으며, 상기 표준 네트워크 LAN와 상기 고성능 네트워크 SAN 간에서의 네트워크 선택이 네트워크 선택기에서 행해지는 컴퓨터 네트워크에서 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신을 제어하는 방법으로서,상기 네트워크 선택은 상기 라이브러리의 상기 통신인터페이스 이후에서, 상기 운영체제 커널로의 액세스 전 또는 직후에 일어나는 것을 특징으로 하는 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신 제어 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 선택은 상기 운영체제 커널로의 액세스 전에 행해지고,상기 라이브러리는 상기 운영체제 커널을 우회하는 통신 경로를 통해 상기 고성능 네트워크 SAN과 연결되는 것을 특징으로 하는 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신 제어 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 선택은 상기 운영체제 커널로의 액세스 후에 행해지고,상기 라이브러리는 통신 경로를 통해 상기 고성능 네트워크 SAN과 연결되며,상기 고성능 네트워크 SAN과 추가적 라이브러리를 직접 연결하는 추가적 통신 경로가 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신 제어 방법.
- 제 3항에 있어서,상기 추가적 통신 경로는 상기 운영체제 커널의 외부에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신 제어 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 제 4항 중 한 항에 있어서,상기 네트워크 선택은 상기 애플리케이션에 의해 주어진 타겟 어드레스에 따라 행해지는 것을 특징으로 하는 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신 제어 방법.
- 제 3항 또는 제 4항에 있어서,상기 통신 경로 또는 상기 추가적 통신 경로를 통한 상기 고성능 네트워크 SAN으로의 통신접속이 불가능하면, 상기 표준 네트워크 LAN이 액세스되는 것을 특징으로 하는 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신 제어 방법.
- 제 1항 내지 제 4항 중 한 항에 있어서,프로토콜 태스크(protocol tasks)가 보다 슬림한 통신프로토콜(slimmer communication protocols)을 제공하기 위해 상기 고성능 네트워크 SAN에 재배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 싱글 컴퓨터들의 통신 제어 방법.
