Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 광원(a luminaire)으로서,각각의 다수의 색을 갖는 적어도 하나의 LED를 포함하는 LED(10, 12, 14)의 어레이(an array)와,각각의 상기 색을 갖는 상기 LED(10, 12, 14)에 전류(50)를 공급하는 수단 - 상기 전류는 적어도 제 1 부스트 부분(a first boost portion)과 "턴 오프" 부분(a "turn off" portion)을 가지는 측정 구동 펄스를 포함하는 측정 기간(a measuring period)을 갖고, 각각의 상기 색을 갖는 상기 LED(10, 12, 14)는 통상적인 동작 동안에는 공칭 연속값(a nominal continuous value)을 가지며, 상기 부스트 부분 동안에는 증가하고, 상기 "턴 오프" 부분 동안에는 인터럽트(interrupt)되는 광 출력을 가지며, 상기 어레이는 상기 전류가 상기 어레이 내의 모든 LED(10, 12, 14)에 공급되는 경우에는 합성 광 출력을 가짐 - 과,상기 어레이 내의 모든 LED(10, 12, 14)의 상기 광 출력을 측정하는 광 다이오드(24)와,상기 LED(10, 12, 14)로의 상기 전류를 선택적으로 턴 오프하여, 상기 광 다이오드(24)가 상기 측정 구동 펄스에 대한 응답으로 각각의 색에 대한 광 출력을 개별적으로 측정하는 수단을 포함하는 광원.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,가시적인 플리커(visible flickers)를 방지하기 위하여, 상기 측정 기간 동안의 평균 광 출력은 상기 통상적인 동작 동안의 상기 공칭 연속 광 출력과 실질적으로 동일한 광원.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 측정 구동 펄스는 상기 "턴 오프" 기간 다음에 오는 제 2 부스트 부분을 더 포함하는 광원.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 부스트 부분은 동일한 지속 시간 및 진폭을 가지는 광원.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 부스트 부분은 상기 공칭 연속 광 값의 120%인 광원.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 부스트 부분의 상기 지속 시간은 대략 5msec이며, 상기 "턴 오프" 기간의 지속 시간은 2msec인 광원.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,LED 구동 전류 변화를 LED 광 출력 변화와 연관시키는 교정값을 저장하는 수단을 더 포함하는 광원.
- 광원 내에서 각각의 다수의 색을 갖는 적어도 하나의 LED를 포함하는 LED(10, 12, 14)의 어레이를 구동하는 방법에 있어서,각각의 상기 색을 갖는 상기 LED(10, 12, 14)에 전류를 공급하여, 통상적인 동작 동안에 상기 LED(10, 12, 14)가 공칭 연속값을 가지는 광 출력을 가지도록 하는 단계(31)와,측정 기간 동안에 상기 전류를 부스팅(boosting)하여 적어도 제 1 부스트 부분을 가지는 측정 구동 펄스를 규정하는 단계와,상기 측정 기간 동안 상기 전류를 "턴 오프"하여 "턴 오프" 부분을 규정함으로써, 상기 광 출력은 상기 부스트 부분 동안에는 증가하고 상기 "턴 오프" 부분 동안에는 인터럽트되며, 상기 어레이는 상기 전류가 상기 어레이 내의 모든 LED(10, 12, 14)에 공급되는 경우에 합성 광 출력을 가지도록 하는 단계와,상기 어레이 내의 모든 LED(10, 12, 14)의 상기 광 출력을 측정하는 단계(32)와,상기 LED(10, 12, 14)로의 상기 전류를 선택적으로 턴 오프하여, 상기 측정 구동 펄스에 대한 응답으로 각각의 색에 대한 상기 광 출력을 개별적으로 측정하는 단계를 포함하는 LED 어레이 구동 방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,가시적인 플리커를 방지하기 위하여, 상기 측정 기간 동안의 평균 광 출력을 상기 통상적인 동작 동안의 상기 공칭 연속 광 출력과 실질적으로 동일하게 유지하는 단계를 더 포함하는 LED 어레이 구동 방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 전류를 부스팅하여, 상기 "턴 오프" 기간 다음에 오는 제 2 부스트 부분을 규정하는 단계를 더 포함하는 LED 어레이 구동 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 부스트 부분을 동일한 지속 시간 및 진폭으로 유지하는 단계를 더 포함하는 LED 어레이 구동 방법.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 전류 신호를 상기 공칭 연속 광 값의 120%만큼 부스팅하는 단계를 더 포함하는 LED 어레이 구동 방법.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 및 제 2 부스트 부분의 상기 지속 시간을 약 5msec로 유지하고, 상기 "턴 오프" 기간의 지속 시간을 약 2msec로 유지하는 단계를 더 포함하는 LED 어레이 구동 방법.
- 제 9 항에 있어서,LED 구동 전류 변화를 LED 광 출력 변화와 연관시키는 교정값을 저장하는 단계를 더 포함하는 LED 어레이 구동 방법.
