A system for preventing a tooth nick is provided to reduce the load of a worker by reducing a tooth nick generating rate, to improve an efficiency of work, and to save a cost. In a system for preventing a tooth nick, chambers(42) are installed on the right and left sides of a ball guide(41) of a pin cage assembly(40). A damper and a power supply apparatus connected to one side of the damper are provided in the chamber. An encoder for measuring the rotational displacement is installed on one side of the ball guide. A computer analyzes the data of the encoder. A spring is installed in the chamber. If a chuck collides with a work, the encoder measures the rotational displacement. A current is supplied to the chamber filled with MR fluid. The maximum displacement is set and then the minimum mounting time is set. The ball guide of the pin cage assembly functions as a guide of the work.
