Abstract

본 발명은 와이퍼 암의 단부에 의해서 암 헤드의 표면에 찍힘현상을 방지할 수 있는 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼는 차량 윈드 실드의 물방울, 이물질 등을 제거하기 위하여 차체에 회전 가능하게 고정되는 암 헤드와 상기 암 헤드에 힌지연결되는 와이퍼 암이 힌지연결되는 와이퍼에 있어서, 힌지연결되는 일측 단부에 내측으로 돌출된 스토퍼가 일체로 형성되는 와이퍼 암 및 와이퍼 암과 힌지 연결되는 축을 중심으로 소정의 각도로 상기 스토퍼가 내설되도록 대응하는 형상을 갖는 홈이 일측 단부 외측에 형성된 암 헤드로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.

본 발명은 차량 윈드실드의 물방울, 이물질 등을 제거하는데 사용되는 와이퍼에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 와이퍼 암의 단부에 의해서 암 헤드의 표면에 찍힘현상을 방지할 수 잇는 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼에 관한 것이다.
차량의 전면 또는 후면에는 물방울, 이물질 등을 제거하기 위해 와이퍼가 구비된다.
차량의 내부에 구비된 링크구조에 의해 작동되는 와이퍼는 차량의 외부로 암 헤드, 와이퍼 암 및 블레이드가 노출된다. 암 헤드는 링크구조에 결합되어 링크구조의 작동에 따라 일정한 각도로 회전하고, 블레이드에는 블레이드 러버가 구비되어 윈드실드와 접촉하여 물방울, 이물질을 제거하고, 와이퍼 암의 단부에 각각 암 헤드와 블레이드가 힌지연결되고, 스프링의 양단이 암 헤드와 와이퍼 암에 연결되어 있어서 암 헤드와 와이퍼 암 사이에 윈드실드에 밀착되도록 탄성을 부여한다.
이러한 와이퍼는 정비, 청소 또는 교환시 힌지연결된 부분을 중심으로 선회시켜 와이퍼 암 또는 블레이드를 차체 또는 윈드실드로부터 이격시킨다.
그러나, 상기와 같은 종래의 와이퍼에서는 단순히 각각의 구성요소가 힌지연결되어 있어서 문제점을 발생시킨다.
암 헤드와 와이퍼 암이 서로 힌지연결되어 있어서, 암 헤드에서 와이퍼 암이 들어올려졌을 때, 와이퍼 암의 하단부가 암 헤드의 표면을 찍는 현상이 발생하게된다. 암 헤드에서 와이퍼 암이 들어올려졌을 때, 일정한 각도를 유지하도록 암 헤드와 와이퍼 암이 서로 힌지연결된다. 하지만, 실제에 있어서는 암 헤드에서 와이퍼 암이 들어올려질 때, 암 헤드를 중심으로 선회하는 와이퍼 암의 관성에 의해서 미리 정해지 위치를 적은양이지만 벗어나게 되고, 이로 인하여 와이퍼 암의 하단이 암 헤드의 표면을 찍는 현상이 발생한다.
이로 인하여, 암 헤드의 형상이 초기와 같이 유지할 수 없으면, 지속적으로 찍힘현상이 발생하여 암 헤드의 도장이 벗겨져서 미관상으로도 좋지 않고, 벗겨진 도장에 의해서 부식이 발생한다.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 발명된 것으로서, 암 헤드에서 와이퍼 암이 들어올려졌을 때에서 암 헤드 상에 찍힘현상이 발생하는 것을 방지하도록 한 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼를 제공한데 목적이 있다.
상기와 같은 목적을 달성하기 위해 본 발명의 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼는 차량 윈드 실드의 물방울, 이물질 등을 제거하기 위하여 차체에 회전 가능하게 고정되는 암 헤드와 상기 암 헤드에 힌지연결되는 와이퍼 암이 힌지연결되는 와이퍼에 있어서, 힌지 연결되는 일측 단부에 내측으로 돌출된 스토퍼가 일체로 형성되는 와이퍼 암 및 와이퍼 암과 힌지 연결되는 축을 중심으로 소정의 각도로 상기 스토퍼가 내설되도록 대응하는 형상을 갖는 홈이 일측 단부 외측에 형성된 암 헤드로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
이하 첨부된 도면을 이용하여 본 발명의 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼의 구성에 대하여 설명하면 다음과 같다.
본 발명의 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼는 와이퍼 암(11)의 하단부는 절곡하여 스토퍼(11a)를 일체로 형성하고, 암 헤드(12)의 단부 외측에 홈(12a)을 형성하여 이루어진다.
와이퍼 암(11)의 하단에는 스토퍼(11a)가 내측으로 돌출되어 형성된다. 단면이 'ㄷ'자와 같은 형상으로 이루어지는 와이퍼 암(11)은 개방된 부분이 하향하도록 하고, 개방된 부분과 인접한 양측면을 암 헤드(12)의 양측면의 외측으로 오도록하여 힌지축을 삽입시켜 와이퍼 암(11)와 암 헤드(12)를 힌지연결 시킨다.
이때, 와이퍼 암(11) 하단부의 개방된 단부에서 내측으로 돌출되는 스토퍼(11a)를 와이퍼 암과 일체로 형성시킨다. 스토퍼(11a)는 와이퍼 암(11)의 하단부의 개방된 단부의 일측에만 형성될 수도 있으나, 바람직하게는 양측에 형성되어 서로 마주보는 것이 바람직하다.
차체에 고정되어 작동하는 링크구조에 연결되는 암 헤드(12)에는 상기 스토퍼(11a)가 내설되도록 대응하는 홈(12a)을 형성시킨다. 상기 홈(12a)은 와이퍼 암(11)과 힌지 연결되는 힌지축을 중심으로 원호형상으로 형성된다. 암 헤드(12)에 형성된 홈(12a)에 의해서, 암 헤드(12)와 와이퍼 암(11)이 힌지 연결되면, 서로 상대적인 위치가 제한된다.
종래 기술에서와 같이 암 헤드와 와이퍼 암에 홈과 스토퍼가 형성되지 않으면, 아무런 제한없이 암 헤드의 단부에서 와이퍼가 선회하게되나, 본 발명에서와 같이 암 헤드(12)와 와이퍼 암(11)에 홈(12a)과 스토퍼(11a)를 형성되도록 하면, 와이퍼 암(11)의 스토퍼(11a)가 암 헤드(12)의 홈(12a)이 형성된 각도만큼만 선회하게 된다.
상기와 같은 구성을 갖는 본 발명의 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼의 작용은 다음 과 같다.
차량에 장착된 평상시에는 와이퍼 암(11)의 스토퍼(11a)의 위치가 암 헤드(12)에 형성된 홈(12a)의 중간 또는 일단에 인접한 위치에 있게된다. 평상시에는 암 헤드(12)와 힌지연결된 와이퍼 암(11)이 스프링(13)에 의해서 윈드실드에 밀착된 상태를 유지하게 된다.
그러나, 와이퍼를 정비, 교환 또는 청소하기 위해서는 암 헤드(12)로부터 와이퍼 암(11)가 들어올려진다. 와이퍼 암(11)을 들어올리면, 와이퍼 암(11)은 힌지축을 중심으로 선회하고, 이때 와이퍼 암(11)의 스토퍼(11a)는 암 헤드(12)에 형성된 홈(12a)의 일단부분에서 타단으로 이동된다. 계속해서 와이퍼 암(11)이 선회하면 와이퍼 암(11)의 스토퍼(11a)는 암 헤드(12)에 형성된 홈(12a)의 타단에 닿게되어, 더 이상 와이퍼 암(11)이 선회하지 않게된다.
이 상태에서 와이퍼의 블레이드를 정비, 교체하거나, 청소한 후, 반대방향으로 선회시키면 양단이 각각 암 헤드(12)와 와이퍼 암(11)에 연결된 상태에서 윈드실드에 밀착되어 정상상태를 유지하게 된다.
상기와 같은 구성을 갖는 본 발명의 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼는 다음과 같은 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
암 헤드에서 와이퍼 암이 들어올려질 때, 일정한 각도이상으로 들어올려지는 것을 방지하여, 와이퍼 암의 하단이 암 헤드를 찍는 현상을 방지한다. 이에 따라, 암 헤드는 초기의 형상을 지속적으로 유지할 수 있고, 와이퍼 암의 하단과 암 헤드가 접촉하지 않으므로 암 헤드의 도장이 벗겨져서 부식되는 현상이 발생하지 않게 된다.

Claims (1)

  1. 차량 윈드 실드의 물방울, 이물질 등을 제거하기 위하여 차체에 회전 가능하게 고정되는 암 헤드(12)와 상기 암 헤드(12)에 힌지연결되는 와이퍼 암(11)이 힌지연결되는 와이퍼에 있어서,
    힌지 연결되는 일측 단부에 내측으로 돌출된 스토퍼(11a)가 일체로 형성되는 와이퍼 암(11) 및
    와이퍼 암(11)과 힌지 연결되는 축을 중심으로 소정의 각도로 상기 스토퍼(11a)가 내설되도록 대응하는 형상을 갖는 홈(12a)이 일측 단부 외측에 형성된 암 헤드(12)로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 스토퍼가 구비된 와이퍼.
