Abstract
Description
본 출원인은 본 발명에 의해 잉크 분사 구성부의 실질적인 직선이동을 달성할 수 있다고 믿는다. 본 출원인은 이러한 이동형태가 노즐장치(10)의 작동 효율성을 향상시킴을 알았다. 더욱이, 상기 액티브 잉크 분사 구조물(20)의 직선이동에 의해 잉크젯 프린트헤드 제조의 주요한 목표인 깨끗한 잉크방울 형성과 분리를 할 수 있다.
Claims (12)
- 잉크젯 프린트헤드(Ink Jet Printhead)용 프린트헤드 칩(Chip)에 있어서,상기 프린트헤드 칩은,기판; 및상기 기판상에 배치되는 다수개의 노즐장치(Nozzle Arrangement)를 포함하며,각각의 상기 노즐장치는, 상기 기판상에 기판과 이격되게 배치되고 잉크분사포트(Ink Ejection Port)가 형성된 루프(Roof)를 구비하는 액티브(Active) 잉크분사 구조물;상기 기판상에 배치되는 스태틱(Static) 잉크분사 구조물로서, 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물과 함께 잉크 입구채널의 시작부와 유체적으로 연통하여 노즐챔버(Nozzle Chamber)를 형성하는 스태틱(Static) 잉크분사 구조물, 여기서, 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물은 노즐챔버의 부피를 감소 및 증가시켜서 상기 노즐챔버로부터 잉크방울을 분사하도록 상기 기판쪽과 기판에서 먼쪽으로 변위될 수 있으며; 및상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물을 상기 기판쪽과 기판에서 먼쪽으로 변위하도록 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물에 대하여 동작가능하게 배열되어 있고, 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물에 실질적인 직선이동을 부여하도록 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물에 연결되어 있는 적어도 2개의 액츄에이터(Actuator)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 프린트헤드 칩은 집적회로 제조기술의 산물(産物)인 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 기판은 CMOS 구동회로를 합체하고, 각각의 액츄에이터는 상기 CMOS 구동회로에 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제1항에 있어서,다수개의 액츄에이터는, 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물에 대하여 실질적으로 회전가능하게 대칭방식으로 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제4항에 있어서,한쌍의 실질적으로 동일한 액츄에이터를 포함하고, 하나의 액츄에이터가 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물의 한쌍의 대향 측면의 각각에 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물은, 상기 루프에 달려있는 측벽을 포함하고, 상기 측벽은, 상기 스태틱 잉크분사 구조물과 접경(接境)하도록 치수화되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 스태틱 잉크분사 구조물은, 상기 기판과 이격되어 있고 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물의 루프에 대향하는 잉크 변위 형성부를 형성하며, 상기 잉크 변위 형성부는, 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물이 기판쪽으로 변위될 때, 상기 잉크분사포트로부터의 잉크의 분사를 용이하게 하도록 치수화되는 잉크 변위영역을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 기판은 다수개의 잉크 입구채널(Inlet Channel)을 형성하고, 하나의 잉크 입구채널은 잉크 입구 개방부에서 각각의 노즐챔버(Nozzle Chamber)내로 개방되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제8항에 있어서,각각의 노즐장치의 잉크 입구채널은, 상기 입구분사포트와 실질적으로 정합하여 상기 노즐챔버내로 개방되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제1항에 있어서,각각의 액츄에이터는, 열적 벤드 액츄에이터(Thermal Bend Actuator)의 형태로 되어 있고, 각각의 열적 벤드 액츄에이터는 일단부에서 상기 기판에 고정되어 있고 대향하는 단부에서 상기 기판에 대하여 이동가능하며, 시차 열팽창(Differential Thermal Expansion)이 액츄에이터 아암(Arm)에 설정될 때 구부려지는 액츄에이터 아암을 갖고, 각각의 열적 벤드 액츄에이터는 CMOS 구동회로로부터 구동신호를 수신할 때 상기 기판쪽으로 구부려지도록 상기 CMOS 구동회로에 접속되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
- 제10항에 있어서,적어도 2개의 커플링(Coupling) 구조물을 포함하고, 하나의 커플링 구조물은 각각의 액츄에이터와 액티브 잉크분사 구조물 중간에 배치되며, 각각의 커플링 구조물은 각각의 열적 벤드 액츄에이터의 상기 대향 단부의 아치형 이동과 상기 액티브 잉크분사 구조물의 실질적인 직선이동의 양쪽을 조절하도록 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 잉크젯 프린트헤드용 프린트헤드 칩.
