Abstract

본 발명은, LCD패널을 수용하는 케이싱을 갖는 휴대용 정보단말기에 관한 것으로서, 상기 케이싱은, 상기 LCD패널의 배면에 배치되는 배면케이싱과; 상기 LCD패널의 외부노출을 LCD개구를 가지고 상기 LCD패널의 전면에서 상기 배면케이싱과 결합되며, 배면에 상기 LCD패널을 지지하는 LCD지지부와, 전면에 커버수용부가 형성되어 있는 중간케이싱과; 상기 커버수용부에 수용 결합되는 전면장식커버를 포함하며, 상기 중간케이싱의 외측 둘레단부와 상기 LCD개구 둘레연부에는 상기 커버수용부를 형성하도록 둘레방향을 따라 장식리브가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 의하여, 제작비를 절감할 수 있고 조립이 용이한 휴대용 정보단말기가 제공된다.

Description

휴대용 정보단말기{portable digital assistant}
본 발명은, 휴대용 정보단말기에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 외관을 형성하는 케이싱의 구조가 개선된 휴대용 정보 단말기에 관한 것이다.
PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) 및 웹 패드(Web Pad) 등의 휴대용 정보단말기는 정보의 수집, 저장, 작성, 검색 및 통신기능을 갖는 기기이다.
이러한 휴대용 정보단말기는, 데스크 탑 컴퓨터 및 노트북 컴퓨터보다 휴대성이 좋고 가격 또한 비교적 저렴함에도 불구하고, 정보의 수집, 저장, 작성, 및 통신기능을 포함한 개인정보관리 프로그램 등의 다양한 기능을 가지고 있다.
또한, 이러한 휴대용 단말기는 저렴한 가격과 다양한 기능 외에도 외관 디자인이 우수하여 최근에는 휴대용 정보단말기의 사용자가 급속하게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이에 따라 휴대용 정보단말기의 제조업체에서는 사용자들이 선호할 수 있는 기능 및 디자인을 지속적으로 개발하고 있다.
도 3은 종래 휴대용 정보단말기의 사시도이고, 도 4는 도 3의 분해사시도이다. 이들 도면에 도시된 바와 같이, 종래 휴대용 정보단말기(101)는 케이싱(103)과, 케이싱(103)내에 수용되는 LCD패널(105)과, 케이싱(103)내에서 LCD패널(105)을 지지하는 LCD프레임(129)과, 케이싱(103)의 둘레영역에 결합되는 장식몰딩(127)을 갖는다,
케이싱(103)은 전면에 LCD개구(121)가 형성되어 있는 전면케이싱(130)과, 전면케이싱(130)의 배면에 결합되어 전면케이싱(130)과 함께 LCD패널(105) 및 기기부품(미도시)의 수용공간을 형성하는 배면케이싱(110)으로 이루어져 있다. 전면케이싱(130)의 배면에는 배면케이싱(110)의 결합을 위한 복수의 스크류체결부(미도시)가 둘레방향을 따라 형성되어 있으며, 이에 대응하는 배면케이싱(110)의 둘레영역에는 복수의 스크류결합부(111)가 형성되어 있다.
LCD패널(105)은 그 둘레단부에 결합되는 LCD프레임(129)이 전면케이싱(130)의 배면에서 LCD개구(121)의 둘레연부에 결합됨으로써, 전면케이싱(130)에 결합된다. LCD프레임(129)은 띠형상을 갖도록 제작되어 LCD패널(105)의 둘레단부에 결합된다. 이를 위해, 전면케이싱(130) 배면의 LCD개구(121) 둘레연부에는 프레임결합부(미도시)가 형성되어 있다. 장식몰딩(127)은 케이싱(103)의 둘레영역에 결합되는 띠형상으로 제작된다. 이 장식몰딩(127)의 표면에는 상표 및 심벌 등의 장식패턴(미도시)이 형성된다.
그런데, 이러한 종래의 휴대용 정보단말기에 있어서는, LCD프레임 및 장식몰딩을 별도의 부품으로 제작하여 케이싱에 일일이 결합하기 때문에, 부품추가에 따른 제작비 상승과 조립이 번거롭다는 문제점이 발생한다. 또한, LCD프레임 및 장식몰딩이 띠형상으로 제작되기 때문에, 부품의 강성이 떨어져 뒤틀림 및 파손의 우려가 있다.
따라서, 본 발명의 목적은, 제작비를 절감할 수 있고 조립이 용이한 휴대용 정보단말기를 제공하는 것이다.

상기 목적은, 본 발명에 따라, LCD패널을 수용하는 케이싱을 갖는 휴대용 정보단말기에 있어서, 상기 케이싱은, 상기 LCD패널의 배면에 배치되는 배면케이싱과; 상기 LCD패널의 외부노출을 LCD개구를 가지고 상기 LCD패널의 전면에서 상기 배면케이싱과 결합되며, 배면에 상기 LCD패널을 지지하는 LCD지지부와, 전면에 커버수용부가 형성되어 있는 중간케이싱과; 상기 커버수용부에 수용 결합되는 전면장식커버를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 정보단말기에 의해 달성된다.
여기서, 상기 중간케이싱의 외측 둘레단부와 상기 LCD개구 둘레연부에는 상기 커버수용부를 형성하도록 둘레방향을 따라 장식리브가 형성되어 있는 것이 바람직하다.
그리고, 상기 중간케이싱의 둘레영역에는 복수의 결합공이 형성되어 있으며, 상기 결합공에 대응하는 상기 전면장식커버와 상기 배면케이싱의 둘레영역에는 각각 상기 결합공을 통해 상호 결합되는 케이싱결합보스와 커버결합보스가 형성되어 있는 것이 효과적이다.
이하에서는 첨부된 도면을 참고하여 본 발명을 상세히 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명에 따른 휴대용 정보단말기의 사시도이고, 도 2는 도 1의 분해사시도이다. 이들 도면에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 휴대용 정보단말기(1)는, 기기부품의 수용공간을 형성하는 케이싱(3)과, 케이싱(3) 내에 수용되는 LCD패널(5)을 갖는다.
케이싱은 LCD패널(5)의 배면에 배치되는 배면케이싱(10)과, LCD패널(5)의 전면에 배치되어 배면케이싱(10)과 결합되는 중간케이싱(20)과, 중간케이싱(20)의 전면에 배치되는 전면장식커버(30)를 갖는다.
배면케이싱(10)의 내측 둘레영역에는 중간케이싱(20) 및 전면장식커버(30)의 결합을 위한 복수의 커버결합보스(11)가 형성되어 있다. 커버결합보스(11)의 중앙영역에는 스크류통과공(미도시)이 형성되어 있다.
중간케이싱(20)에는 LCD개구(21)가 형성되어 있으며, 중간케이싱(20)의 배면둘레영역에는 배면케이싱(10)의 커버결합보스(11)가 삽입되는 복수의 결합공(23)이 형성되어 있다. 그리고, 중간케이싱(20)의 전면에는 둘레면을 따라 전면장식커버(30)가 수용되는 커버수용부(25)가 형성되어 있으며, 중간케이싱(20)의 외측 둘레단부와 LCD개구(21)의 전면 둘레단부에는 함께 외부로 노출되는 장식리브(27)가 형성되어 있다. 또한, 중간케이싱(20)의 배면에는 LCD개구(21)의 둘레연부에는 LCD패널(5)을 지지하기 위한 LCD지지부(29)가 형성되어 있다. 여기서, 중간케이싱(20)은 전면장식커버(30)와는 다른 색상으로 제작되어 전면장식커버(30)의 결합상태에서 전면에 투톤컬러를 형성하는 것이 바람직하다.
전면장식커버(30)는 중간케이싱(20)의 커버수용부(25)에 수용되는 틀형상으로 제작된다. 그리고 전면장식커버(30)의 배면에는 중간케이싱(20)의 결합공(23)에 삽입된 상태에서 배면케이싱(10)의 스크류통과공(미도시)을 통과한 스크류가 체결되도록 암나사부(미도시)를 갖는 복수의 케이싱결합보스(31)가 둘레방향을 따라 형성되어 있다. 이 전면장식커버(30)의 전면에는 상표 및 심볼 등의 장식패턴이 형성된다.
이러한 구성에 의해서, 본 발명에 따른 휴대용 정보단말기(1)를 조립할 때는 중간케이싱(20)의 LCD지지부(29)에 LCD패널(5)을 결합한 다음, 중간케이싱(20)을 배면케이싱(10)의 전면에 배치시킨다. 이때, 배면케이싱(10)에 형성되어 있는 커버결합보스(11)는 중간케이싱(20)의 결합공(23)에 삽입된다.
LCD패널(5)이 결합된 중간케이싱(20)을 배면케이싱(10)의 전면에 배치시킨 다음 전면장식커버(30)를 중간케이싱(20)의 커버수용부(25)에 결합시킨다. 이때,전면장식커버(30)에 형성되어 있는 케이싱결합보스(31)는 중간케이싱(20)의 결합공(23)에 삽입되어 배면케이싱(10)의 커버결합보스(11)와 대향하게 된다.
이 상태에서 배면케이싱(10)의 후방에서 스크류통과공(미도시)을 통해 스크류를 전면장식커버(30)의 케이싱결합보스(31)에 체결하면 기기조립이 간단히 완료된다.
이와 같이, 휴대용 정보단말기의 케이싱을 배면케이싱과 장식리브 및 LCD지지부를 갖는 중간케이싱과, 중간케이싱의 전면에 결합되는 전면장식커버로 구성함으로써, 별도의 LCD프레임과 장식몰딩을 갖는 종래 휴대용 정보단말기에 비해 부품을 절감할 수 있으며, 부품절감에 따라 제작비 절감 및 조립성을 향상할 수 있다.
이상 설명한 바와 같이, 본 발명에 따르면, 제작비를 절감할 수 있고 조립이 용이한 휴대용 정보단말기가 제공된다.

Claims (3)

  1. LCD패널을 수용하는 케이싱을 갖는 휴대용 정보단말기에 있어서,
    상기 케이싱은,
    상기 LCD패널의 배면에 배치되는 배면케이싱과;
    상기 LCD패널의 외부노출을 위한 LCD개구를 가지고 상기 LCD패널의 전면에서 상기 배면케이싱과 결합되며, 배면에 상기 LCD패널을 지지하는 LCD지지부와, 전면에 커버수용부가 형성되어 있는 중간케이싱과;
    상기 커버수용부에 수용 결합되는 전면장식커버를 포함하며,
    상기 중간케이싱의 외측 둘레단부와 상기 LCD개구 둘레연부에는 상기 커버수용부를 형성하도록 둘레방향을 따라 장식리브가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 정보단말기.

    상기 중간케이싱의 둘레영역에는 복수의 결합공이 형성되어 있으며, 상기 결합공에 대응하는 상기 전면장식커버와 상기 배면케이싱의 둘레영역에는 각각 상기 결합공을 통해 상호 결합되는 케이싱결합보스와 커버결합보스가 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 휴대용 정보단말기.
