Description
Claims (10)
- 제 1 기판 상에 서로 교차하는 게이트 배선 및 데이터 배선을 형성하는 단계;상기 두 배선의 교차 지점에 박막트랜지스터를 형성하는 단계;상기 박막트랜지스터와 연결되는 복수개의 화소 전극을 형성하는 단계;상기 화소 전극과 교번하도록 복수개의 공통전극을 형성하는 단계;상기 공통전극을 포함한 전면에 배향막을 형성하는 단계;상기 공통전극 및 화소전극 그리고 공통전극과 화소 전극 사이의 배향막에 각각 제 1, 제 2, 제 3 편광방향을 갖는 자외선을 조사하여 배향막과 평행한 평면상에 벤드구조 배향패턴을 형성하는 단계;상기 제 1 기판에 대향하는 제 2 기판과의 사이에 액정을 주입하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 편광방향은 상기 공통전극의 길이방향에 대해서 일방향으로 편향되고, 상기 제 2 편광방향은 상기 제 1 편광방향의 반대방향으로 편향되고, 상기 제 3 편광방향은 상기 공통전극의 길이방향에 수직한 것을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 배향처리는 포토 마스크(photo mask)와 자외선을 사용하여 배향처리함을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 배향처리는 러빙법으로 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 공통전극과 화소전극에 인접한 영역은 배향처리를 하지 않고, 주변의 배향 상태에 의해서 액정이 배열하도록 함을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자의 제조방법.
- 제 1 기판 상에서 서로 교차하는 게이트 배선 및 데이터 배선;상기 두 배선의 교차 지점에 형성된 박막트랜지스터;상기 박막트랜지스터와 연결되는 복수개의 화소 전극;상기 화소 전극과 교번하도록 형성된 복수개의 공통전극;상기 공통전극을 포함한 전면에 형성되며 상기 공통전극 상부에서 공통전극의 길이방향에 대해서 일방향으로 제 1 편광방향과, 상기 화소전극 상부에서 상기 제 1 편광방향과 대칭되는 제 2 편광방향과, 상기 공통전극과 화소 전극 사이에서 상기 공통전극의 길이방향에 수직한 제 3 편광방향을 갖는 벤드 구조의 배향패턴으로 이루어진 배향막;상기 제 1 기판에 대향하는 제 2 기판과의 사이에 형성된 액정층;상기 제 1 ,제 2 기판의 외주면에 각각 부착된 제 1 ,제 2 편광판을 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 ,제 2 편광판의 투과축은 서로 수직을 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자.
- 제 7 항에 있어서, 상기 제 1 편광판 또는 제 2 편광판 중 어느 하나는 그 투과축이 상기 전극의 길이방향과 수직함을 특징으로 하는 횡전계방식 액정표시소자.
