Abstract

PURPOSE: A process for preparing a writing brush having hardness and good water absorption property is provided to allow the brush to be used with suitable power and amount of Chinese ink contained therein by comprising desired content of artificial hair and moderate hair having irregularity of hair thickness. CONSTITUTION: The writing brush is made of natural hair such as hair of animal or downy hair of baby, as well as artificial hair and moderate hair in an appropriate ratio. The brush is prepared by steps of bundling the hair in an amount desirable to obtain the brush product; dipping the hair bundle into a diluted solution containing lime and tooth powder in water for about 12 hours then drying the hair bundle for 2 to 3 days under sunlight; admixing the natural material with the downy hair of baby, the artificial hair and the moderate hair; regulating end of the brush and drying the brush under shade; and coating the brush with lacquer, adhesive or glue.
