Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for preparing ceramic ware for a kitchen is provided by which prepared ceramic ware shows unique effect of jade and germanium. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of: (i) mixing 25-35 vol.% of feldspar, 10-20 vol.% of silica, 25-35 vol.% of clay, 10-20 vol.% of kaolinite and 5-15 vol.% of sericite containing germanium and wet-pulverizing the mixture to have a particle size of 10-16 micrometer; (ii) after molding the pulverized materials into a ceramic ware product, drying and primarily calcining the molded ceramic ware product at a temperature of about 800-1,000 deg.C; (iii) coating the primarily calcined ceramic ware product with siliceous glaze containing 5-10% of sericite, 5-10% of jade and 2-5% of organic germanium; and (iv) secondarily calcining the glazed ceramic ware at a temperature of 1,230-1,300 deg.C.
