Claims (8)
- 偏光画像から被写体表面の法線に係る情報を取得して情報処理を行う情報処理装置であって、
画像平面を複数の領域に分割し、鏡面反射モデルおよび拡散反射モデルのどちらかを割り当てる領域分割部と、
偏光画像における分割された領域ごとに、割り当てられたモデルを適用して法線分布を求める法線算出部と、
領域ごとの法線分布を統合し画像平面全体における法線分布を生成して出力する統合部と、
を備えることを特徴とする情報処理装置。 - 前記領域分割部は、前記偏光画像から得られる偏光度がしきい値以下の領域に拡散反射モデルを割り当て、それ以外の領域に鏡面反射モデルを割り当てることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。
- 前記領域分割部は、前記偏光画像に対応する輝度画像において、輝度がしきい値より大きい領域に拡散反射モデルを割り当て、それ以外の領域に鏡面反射モデルを割り当てることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報処理装置。
- 前記出力データ生成部はさらに、前記領域分割部が領域分割した結果を用いて情報処理を行うことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の情報処理装置。
- 前記領域分割部、前記法線算出部、および前記統合部は、前記偏光画像を撮影する撮像装置から所定の距離内に光源があるときに動作することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の情報処理装置。
- 前記偏光画像を撮影する撮像装置から所定の距離内にある光源のオン/オフまたは発光強度を制御する照明制御部をさらに備え、
前記領域分割部、前記法線算出部、および前記統合部は、前記光源がオンの期間または所定値以上の発光強度とした期間において動作することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の情報処理装置。 - 偏光画像から被写体表面の法線に係る情報を取得する情報処理装置が、
画像平面を複数の領域に分割し、鏡面反射モデルおよび拡散反射モデルのどちらかを割り当てるステップと、
偏光画像における分割された領域ごとに、割り当てられたモデルを適用して法線分布を求めるステップと、
領域ごとの法線分布を統合し画像平面全体における法線分布を生成して出力するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする法線情報取得方法。 - 偏光画像から被写体表面の法線に係る情報を取得するコンピュータに、
画像平面を複数の領域に分割し、鏡面反射モデルおよび拡散反射モデルのどちらかを割り当てる機能と、
偏光画像における分割された領域ごとに、割り当てられたモデルを適用して法線分布を求める機能と、
領域ごとの法線分布を統合し画像平面全体における法線分布を生成して出力する機能と、
をコンピュータに実現させることを特徴とするコンピュータプログラム。
