Claims (3)
- 所定の表示画像を表示する表示装置であって、それぞれ異なる色の光を発する複数の光源と、光の反射する角度を制御可能な複数の反射部を含む表示素子と、前記複数の光源のうち何れか一つを発光させ、発光する前記光源を順次切り替えるフィールドシーケンシャル方式にて前記複数の光源から発せられる光から所望の色の照明光を生成するとともに、前記反射部を通じて前記照明光のうち前記表示画像に対応した光をスクリーンに向けて反射させる制御部と、前記表示素子の温度を検出する温度検出部と、前記表示素子の温度を調整する温度調整部と、を備え、前記制御部は、前記温度検出部により検出された温度が前記表示素子の低温あるいは高温非表示範囲である場合、前記複数の光源への電流の供給を停止し、前記温度調整部のみに第一電流値の電流を供給することを特徴とする表示装置。
- 前記温度検出部により検出された温度が前記表示素子の動作可能温度範囲内で、かつ低温あるいは高温表示範囲内である場合に、前記制御部は、前記表示画像を表示する際、前記照明光を生成する表示期間と前記複数の光源の全てを消灯する非表示期間とを繰り返すとともに、前記表示期間において、前記温度調整部に前記第一電流値より小さい第二電流値の電流を供給し、前記複数の光源に通常の電流値より低い電流値の電流を供給することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記非表示期間において、前記複数の光源への電流の供給を停止し、前記温度調整部に前記第一電流値以下で、かつ第二電流値より大きい第三電流値の電流を供給することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。
