Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance resolution of projected images, by providing a reversible laminate thermal recording film which comprises a colored layer having a color in a wavelength region of 430-550nm and a thermal recording layer comprising an organic low molecular weight substance dispersed in a resin matrix. CONSTITUTION:A liquid containing a pigment or dye and, optionally, a resin binder is applied to a base such as a transparent paper and a plastic film to produce a colored sheet. The pigment or dye is so selected that when the colored sheet is irradiated with light in a wavelength region of 400-700nm, the sheet gives a color in a wavelength region of 430-550nm with a spectral transmittance at an absorption peak wavelength of 50-80%, preferably, about 60-75%. Next, a solution or dispersed liquid containing a resin matrix and an organic low molecular weight substance is applied to a colored layer or the colored sheet, followed by drying to provide a thermal recording layer or a thermal recording sheet.
